Get in there!!! Daryl is 20,000 Swedish Krone richer after taking down the 10 Ball Challenge this evening! A bye in the first round of 24 was followed by victories over (L16) Joakim Haugen - Norway 9-8, ( L8 ) Tomas Larrson - Sweden 9-1, ( L4 ) Tony Drago - Malta 7-3, and (Final) Andreas Gerwén - Sweden 7-6. Now do the double and I'll be able to add your photo here... http://www.pro9.co.uk/html/article.php?sid=1887Imran, Tony and Daryl are already through to the Last 32 Single Elimination Round of the handicapped 9 ball event, along with Sweden's Marcus Chamat and Tom Storm, plus Norway's Joakim Haugen and Mats Schietne. Celebrated players still to qualify from the Last 64 Single Elimination Round include Sweden's Torbjörn Blomdahl, and Ewa Mataya Laurance, Norway's Kristoffer Mindreboe, and Estonia's Denis Grabe among others. Good luck! [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2012-05-20 03:34 ]

Thanks Dave. I had a choice of going to the usual vegas trip for US 10ball or this event as I was invited by Marcus Chamat....I accepted Marcus' invitation and I am so glad I did...awesome event in an awesome venue, with great crowds...the people here are so friendly! Yes, I have taken down the 10ball challenge and am going for the double today......but I would defo be coming back here next year even if I hadn't done well this year! -----------------

The Last 16 is underway, and already, Peach, Drago and Grabe are the first three players to have advanced into the Quarter-Finals - all without too much fuss. It looks like the Quarter-Finals are going to produce some tough matches - Peach vs Grabe will be a terrific match, and Drago may meet Majid for an epic clash too! What a shame there's no live-streaming! [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2012-05-20 14:08 ]

As the field has narrowed down, it's Sweden versus England as Peach beat Grabe and Majid Beat Drago in the Quarters, the semi-finals look like this... Marcus Chamat (SWE) v (GBR) Imran Majid Daryl Peach (GBR) v (SWE) Tomas Larrson This event hasn't been won by a Swede in the last 3 years, with Raj Hundal taking it down two years in a row in 2009 and 2010, followed by Rodney Morris in 2011 - can Imran and Daryl continue the run of victories? Only time will tell, but there's some pressure on this now! Good luck gents! [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2012-05-20 16:51 ]

We would like to thank all international and national players for taking part in this happening for pool. It´s a player party you can say for a three days period. Nearly €12 000 was paid out in the 9-ball handicap tournament and the 10-ball Challenge events.
Daryl Peach played solid through out the weekend and took the 10-ball crown and runner up in the handicap tournament. Congrats from Sweden Daryl for a impressive performance in a tough competition. Chamat finally made it happen that the titel in the main event, the handicap tournament stayed in his hometown. As mentioned earlier players like Morris and Hundal has been steeling the trophy for the last years. We like to thank all participants that made this weekend what it become. A great party for three days with two great tournaments

Yes, a great weekend for me with a 1st and a 2nd place.....if anyone was going to beat me I'm glad it was Marcus......it was a long weekend for me, up until the final I had won 10 matches in a row....against tough opposition, and I did run out of steam a little in the final. Thanks to Marcus for inviting me, and all the staff at interpool....I had a great time and really enjoyed my stay....I will be looking forward to coming back next year!! For any UK players wanting to travel to some overseas events, this event would be a great choice....it's organised excellently, the atmosphere in the place is great, and the people and staff are really friendly. -----------------
