Just for your information, this weekend at the Predator SBK pool club in Bosnia Herzegovina they are holding a qualifier for 4 wildcard spots at the World 9 Ball Championships in Doha, Qatar. The qualifying tournament is only for Eastern European countries, and I'm fairly certain the spots have come via "KnightShot" who are sponsors of the World Championship and have made a big push into Eastern Europe by opening a billiards superstore in B+H. The website isn't in English http://sbkpredator.ba/index.php?showCat5&showText=55 but I have been promised photos and the names of the winners. ----------------- Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor

Yeah, it's "only for Eastern European countries" so no harm done where you're concerned, but I think it's interesting to know about what opportunities and business is happening elsewhere in Europe.

This opportunity for Eastern European Players Only is a testament to the hard work put in by Marcin Krzeminski.
The Pole is on a roll as he strives to provide an alternative to the Euro Tour for his players. He has built up a strong alliance of member countries that might see him break away from an EPBF that he thinks are not fulfilling the aspirations of players like Showerski, Kaplan, Dalmatin and a host of other emerging World Class players.

Just for completeness, I've heard that the winners of spots to go to the World Championships in Qatar were...
1. Bozo Primic, Croatia 2. Andreja Klasovic, Serbia 3. Matej Sulek, Slovenia
...Only three spots were awarded, and photography was prohibited due to exclusive rights apparently.
