Chris flew to Thailand's "Megabreak Pool Club" in Pattaya and played a local celeb called "Preecha" today... Preccha got five on the wire (a five rack start) in a race to 20. I know Chris got beat 20-16... Does anyone know anything more about how it went? I know they had streaming here... http://www.ustream.tv/channel/megabreak-pool-pattayaAnyone know what else Chris is doing out there, or anything?

"On the wire" refers to traditional scoring beads which were often suspended above pool tables. Getting "5 on the wire" means you are receiving a 5 rack start - so in a race to 20, Preech would only have to win 15 racks to claim the victory - and that's exactly what he did! That just means in a rotation game e.g. 9 ball or 10 ball they win if they pot that ball. If it's wild that can come from a combination shot, otherwise it must be potted when on that ball. Usually they will stipulate it doesn't count if potted off the break. [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2012-05-03 08:47 ]

Last night I stumbled across a UStream live feed where Chris Played Stuart Pettman, giving 5 start to Stuart. Unfortunately I arrived too late to see the match but the score at the bottom showed Stuart won 20-11. The word is (SP) he will play Bobby Lee next. If it's off levels BL will get mullered! Yes Stuart played very well and broke the balls far better than Chris did. Add to this a slight run of the balls with Stuart meant that Chris was never in the game. Bobby Lee may have heard of this as the word on the street is says he is not going to play Stuart.
