OK, assuming that this is a genuine question - the answer is that while there is a bountiful choice of break cue tips made from suitably hard phenolic and linen materials, there really isn't a lot of choice of non-leather playing cue tips, and certainly not the same range of qualities available.
I have actually been in talks with a company that make a chalkless tip, it's bright orange, clearly non-leather, and never needs chalking. It would be great for a standard club cue, just imagine all the benefits for club owners... No chalk dust to clean, saving on chalk, and customers able to play without grinding.
I was hoping the chap would advertise on Pro9 - and he should have said yes, because I've forgotten the brand name now, despite the darn thing being bright orange.
Most of the non-leather tips I know of are synthetic or rubber, like Kings Tip, which is a cheap rubber looking chalkless tip...

I'll PM you when I remember what it's called, but I'm not sure any of the non leather versions would be suitable for the demands of high level players.
Oh, I've got it now, it's called "Grip Tip" - here it is...

Whether a non-leather tip would be permitted in some WPA/BCA Rules events is another matter, but if I come across any more I'll let you know.
