Quite surprised that this hasn't already been brought up as a topic.
Does anyone else agree that moving the dates to a Monday-Thursday will be no good for the live audiance?
Anyone living/working a distance away from London will have to book nearly a week off work to come and watch....

Its 10th to 13th Dec as well which will make it harder to take leave if anyone like me and has leave ban dates to contend with!
Dont fancy using 4 days Leave up that close to xmas

yeah, i really fancied going this year, but no chance with those dates, can see why they have done it, maybe now they get in on sky sports 1 or 2 as no footy clashes etc

Gutted as I was planning to come to this one having missed the last one. But I cannot get a full week off work - completely out of the question unfortunately. So it looks like I'll be watching on sky sports again.
I can't criticise Matchroom because they know how to promote and run events so I'm sure the reasons are very sound. Am just gutted personally.

I know the York Hall is famous for it's atmosphere but I just think it's so unimpressive compared to the MGM Grand.
Surely there is a more luxurious venue with beautiful surrounding areas that can show off our country a little more.
It's embarrassing.

It's embarrassing. I get what your saying Danny. The surrounding areas are unimpressive, but the actual atmoshphere in the last one at York Hall blew the one at the MGM away. Anyway, if i was an American citizen coming over to watch, I wouldn't be staying in East London the whole time lol I'll probably still be attending, especially if they are evening sessions as i can go on the way home from work. I just think the highlight of the Mosconi cup in 2010 was the atmosphere that the York Hall provided (and that Europe won, obviously). Moving the dates from a Monday-Thursday may avoid football/darts/snooker clashes but will detract from the atmosphere for sure. No dig at matchroom as they obviously know what they are doing, just a little bit dissapointed.

I agree and understand everyones dissapointment in the date switch, but I for one dont care when it is or what time it is on as its the MOSCONI CUP in the York Hall.
One of the great sporting atmospheres you will ever find in the UK.
I was there last time and the atmosphere was electric and i am sure it will be the same again.

The pooint was Ross that the atmosphere wont be the same again because there wont be a big enough crowd to create the same atmosphere
