I was just wondering why there is only a small selection of joint protectors in the shop? I would have thought there'd be more demand for them. [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2012-02-08 18:07 ]

We DO normally have some Predator JP's in stock too, and they are fairly popular, but the others are actually quite rarely purchased.
I wonder if it's a love 'em or hate em deal, although everyone I know has them I guess?
Any else got any ideas about this?

Out of interest when was the last time someone damaged their cue joint as a result of not having a joint protector on?

I did it once... I was working on a tip with a cue shaft that had a plastic joint collar... I rested the shaft on a table and was really giving it some, and when I inspected the collar I'd actually flattened the side of it slightly. When I put the shaft and butt together again you could clearly see the damage as the collars were white!!!
I can't remember what I was doing that required so much elbow grease, but live and learn, although the circumstances were pretty rare I'll admit, but I'll never do that again.
Some people call them "end caps" - but I suppose they could help keep any chalk, fluff and other grime out of the connection during transport?
