A good read and couldn't agree more. American technique is pretty poor.

My only worry is, if the USA team don't change there ways and don't take the Mosconi Cup as seriuosly as the European's - it will become a competition of Professionals v Amateurs. I hope it doesn't take the edge of away from the Mosconi Cup, as the game of 9 Ball needs a closely contested competition - as long as Europe always "eventually" win.

I think they do take it seriously after all there is significant prize money for winning, The problem is they don't have the strength in depth that the euros do. The only chance they have to make it close is to have their best players playing. I said it before and others have said after that Hatch should have played instead of morris, common sense. Matchroom proved to be clueless on this (or maybe they wanted another euro win) so it should be top 3 in rankings and let the captain make the last two picks

I agree, there is a lack of strength in depth on the part of the americans. The European teams can put 2 or 3 teams which could have beat the USA. USA need to wait to discover talent. It happens in all sports. Look at cricket... P.s i would love to see a similar challenge with Europe playing Phillipines or China. Would be interesting.

What a brilliantly written article. I genuinely think an English team would beat the Americans at the mo, obviously I'm biased though.

The Yanks are in freefall and need replaced by an Asian team. Then Raj could play!
