Mark Lovell one of the true gentlemen of the game of pool has sadly passed away, i would like to pass on my thoughts to his family.
Mark loved the game and played on the GB9 tour, he was an old school player with old school principals and never had a bad word for anyone, it was an honour to call him a friend,
God bless you mate
Sadly missed always remembered
Rest in Peace mate

Sad news, Over the last couple of years Mark showed his illness that he was a true fighter, even whilst in the greatest of discomfort he would still persevere with life and playing the game he loved. He has made many friends along the way and i am thankful that i became one of them. We had some great times both on the tour and more recently in little money matches with our locals in Leicester. An old school bloke who will be sadly missed. My thoughts are with your family now, i hope they can take a little comfort from knowing just how many friends you had in the pool world, who are thinking and praying for you and them right now. RIP buddy [ This message was edited by: BigTone on 2011-12-10 14:45 ]

RIP Mark
Enjoyed the games we had and glad you made me the offers. One of the most genuine blokes you'll ever meet and its a loss to the pool community that your gone.
Thoughts are with your family at this time

RIP Mark. I played a few games down at Solihull and you always had a great attitude towards the game and life. We can all learn a lot from your example. As Andy says you will be racking them up in heaven right now.
God Bless!

Very sad to hear that Mark has passed away. Only met him once when I played him on GB9 tour at Blackpool but had a good chat with him after our match. It stuck in my mind as he was so friendly and a true gentleman both on and off the table.

It's very sad when we lose "one of ours" like this, my condolences to Mark's friends and family. I just saw Chris Melling on Sky Sports live TV coverage of the Mosconi Cup in Las Vegas dedicate his victory to Mark's memory... Touching stuff. Rest in peace Mark. just a thought would it be possible to name the midland event of the GB9 the
"Mark Lovell midlands classic"
i know its soon after his passing but would be a great gesture to a player that loved the game
