Just wanted to say thanks to Keith Walkerdine for the comps he's overseen at the Rack n Roll, Leicester this year.
After yesterday's £10 entry handicapped comp, the total prize money given out in leagues and tournaments in 2011 exceeded a fantastic £5500.
Keith also regularly updates the Rack n Roll's League Republic website with some great stats, photos and results.
The twice yearly 9 Ball league (which is where I first held a cue back in 2003) is still to my knowledge one of , if not 'the' biggest weekly league in England, always getting 30+ players a season of quite literally all standards and ages, many of whom becoming regular Pro9ers in the process.
For all of these reasons, I felt it appropriate to recognise Keith's contribution to Pool.
Well done mate.

Very well said Ben I couldn't agree more. Keith does a superb job. He's a top bloke and we're lucky to have him. I'd also like to point out how modest young Benjamin aka " The Law " is, as he won the handicap comp yesterday after working a nightshift the night before. He also won the majority of that £5500, your round mate

Less than 10% was won by me and I finished top of the money ladder, goes to show how widespread the payouts are I guess. And yes I am round.
Back to thanking Keith...

Just to say that I am pretty new to one of Keith's leagues at R&R, and am mightily impressed by the levels of organisation and dedication that he puts into it all. The site is fab, loving all the stats (The inner maths geek coming out in me) and the profiles are awesome! You are made to feel like a Galactico First tournament for me yesterday and it was top notch, even if I did suffer painful defeat! Keep up the good work mate!

I was hugely impressed with both the event and Keith, as a person and as an organiser. It's not easy to run these things and he does it with aplomb.
Glad to see Ben win it - class player.

Keith does a great job with comps and I'm grateful to him for letting me run one of my comps in his place this year. If it wasn't for the league I wouldn't have been anywhere near as ambitious as I try to be now. Dave Edwards (Cowboy09) also deserves a ton of credit. He knows a lot about the game of pool, he's brilliant with people as a bar manager and as a friend and he does his best to keep the conditions as good as they can be. And he supports a the devils playground of a lot of players and he deserves as much credit as Keith. Couldn't hope to play pool with a better bunch of guys than the regulars who go in there.
