Evening all, I know its Sunday evening but hey i never stop and once again my brain has been working overtime. I have had an idea its in the very early stages of planning but I vision with the right amount of interest for it to happen in early December.

The plan is to run a league but with a difference. I thought to myself why in general why are leagues so hard to get running and make them a success?? with the exception of the Rack & Roll league in Leicester and a few others.
I came to the conclusion that 1) players drop if they make a bad start 2) The length of the league that players commitments working ect change 3) Its hard to get all players to commit to a certain league night each week to name a few.

So here is the idea

Total9ball Charity 24 hour league with cash prizes

I thought to myself what can T9B do next and i decided we haven't yet done anything for charity so we are going to give it ago.

The basic details:-
**League will last for 24 hours**
                         **Maximum 16 Players**
**T9B Handicaps will be used to even player levels**
**Each player will play all other players once**
**Matches will begin Fri night 8pm for example and
                             finish at 8pm Saturday**
**Entry will be £50 per player but must be topped up
with sponsors to the total value of £100 or the
                             difference must be paid**
**Total9ball will run this event free of charge**

There will still be Prize money tho totaling £800 based on a 16 player field.

                            **1st    £300
                            **2nd £180
                            **3rd £150
                            **4th £100
                            **5th    £70

There will also be other things such as a break and run comp £5 entry all players will get an attempt, if you don't pot a ball off the break but score the 3 points you may continue. Some of this entry will go to the selected charity.

I have a personal preference that the charity is the British Heart Foundation but im willing to listen to players who enters opinions on which Charity

Phil, have you had any rough ideas where you want this be hosted at? And at what time of day you think is best to start?

Put me down please I'm definitely finding a way to get there.

BHF is a good choice mate.

Thanks for the repsonse guys in answer to your questions, I think it's easiest to hold it at St Albans or Wycombe Hurricane Room as both clubs are 24hours so staff ect are already sorted. Mayb it's best to start say 10am Sat and finish 10am Sunday then it starts like a normal comp. All details will be sorted asap. New favourites Mark and Wayne practicing 11 hours a day lol

I went and watched a team of 4 doing a 24 hour marathon in Leicester on saturday night. Just went to support them for a few hours to get them through the night.

They were hardcore, getting absolutely bladdered...god knows how they finished the 24 hours :)

I was up for it thought it was a good idea but it doesnt seem to have sparked much interest which is a shame.

I'm trying to get a 24 hour match going against an opponent if anybody is interested who was on the list. Was gonna raise money for Cancer Research UK but may change this if there's a better charity I can support.
