Are there any in the UK? I was talking to a friend about this and we're wondering. I know for some people it's an out-dated game but I really admire the skill it takes to make those kind of shots.

Many thanks,

cjj46

I absolutely looooove, 3 cushion billiards after David Bare show me how to shoot some (actually fairly basic) shots at the Clichy Mon-Marte club in Paris... And my exhaustive research has shown not a single 3C table in the UK.

(There is a rumour that there is one in North West London... Kilburn area... Bit I'm fairly confident it's just a myth unfortunately - shame).

:(

I would be absolutely delighted to be proved wrong... But if you fancy a go yourself, it's worth seeking out David Bare in Paris for an intro at the most exquisite club I've ever seen.

Clichy

Clichy

Yes, that's a stained glass ceiling!

Take your passport when you visit the club as you need it to get in as it's also a casino.

Thanks for the info BigDave. Shame there isn't at least one. If I'm ever in Paris, this place will definitely on the list!

I know for a fact that there are two 3 cushion table in Harringey Snooker Club on Green Lanes in North London, as i've played on them. i even think they're heated if i remember correctly. The guys in there call it 3 ball.

Steve teased me about this place, but refused to tell me exactly where it was.... Glad someone finally got it out of him... Guess where we'll be going soon!

:D

The last time I was there was just over a year ago but have played there quite a few times. Its not the fanciest place in the world but I like it like that, it has that old school feel. They have snooker tables and american pool tables, I even think they had table tennis (ping pong) tables as well. Theres always a group of older turkish guys sitting around arguing with each other and watching turkish football, and I even think they have poker games that go on, but may be limited to the "in crowd". Hope that helps

I found a number for the club, might be worth giving them a call to see if they still have the 3 cushion tables. They call it 3 ball so you might have to ask for that when enquiring. 0208 802 6259

When trying to find it on google maps look up 557 Green Lanes, then street view it to see exactly where it is, as google has a problem finding the exact address of the club, which is a little strange!

Enjoy!

Interesting... Thanks for sharing Steve. Did you ever see them playing backgammon there?

No Problem, I don't recall seeing them play backgammon however that doesn't mean they didn't
