Hi Everyone Im in Mumbai for the next two months working and I was hoping to play some 9ball at some clubs while im here. Its proving a little difficult as I dont think the hotel staff have much of a clue as to where I want to go...which leads me to think there may not be any clubs around I mailed Raj Hundal through Facebook a little while ago but havent heard anything as yet.... Does anyone out there know whether there is any in the area? I assumed the internet would help me out, but thats also a little tricky, which I thought was suprising. Any Ideas or inside knowledge would be great...thanks in advance dudes Chris

The only contacts I've made from Mumbai are the official snooker headquarters... But I'm on the case Chris! Wooh, and first impressions look good-ish! http://www.theclubmumbai.com/Billiards.aspx[ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2011-08-13 08:58 ]

Chris flies out today I believe, and I HAVE sent him details supplied by our friends at CueSportsIndia - but unfortunately it was no good news.
Even worse, is that I have just had a nice chat with someone who knows the situation in Mumbai and it gets even worse.
Apparently, pool is big in the West of India, but in the South, and particularly in Mumbai, the government has placed almost prohibitively high taxes on billiards parlours and a Mumbai resident has said there are not many places at all to play pool in Mumbai.
Anywhere that might have a pool table or two might be private clubs with very high membership fees.
Doh!
I reckon you'll need to do a bit of networking when you're out there to get invited as a guest or something... You know what they say, "it's who you know" that's important!
Good luck mate!
