Introducing the UK Southern 9 Ball Inter-League - The first 9 Ball Team League covering all the Southeren Counties in the UK. Following huge success with the National GB9 Ball Tour, we have decided to form a Southern Team Inter-League with the intention of growing it to a national scale over the next few seasons. 9 Ball is without doubt increasing with popularity throughout the UK, with more and more venues offering American Pool, as well as Snooker and English Pool. The format is simple, only 4 Players required to form a team, with each player playing a Race to 5 Set in each League match, with the fifth set being played by the "Captain's Choice" (any of the first 4 players or a 5th player who hasn't yet played). With Large cash prizes awaiting the finalists, this is a great League for established 9 Ballers, as well as those who are new to the game and are still "learning the ropes." Each match only requires 1 Table, so this expands the number of venues who can register teams. Counties eligible are: Essex, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Kent, Hertfordshire, London, East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, Devon, Bristol, Dorset, Hampshire, Berkshire, Somerset, Cornwall, Middlesex, Buckinghamshire, Wiltshire. For more information and for registration details please email info@legends-pool.co.uk or call 07540 096631. [ This message was edited by: legendspool on 2011-07-28 21:04 ]

Shame this isnt extended to counties like Leicestershire and Northamptonshire who aren't really 'Northern' counties and not that far away from Cambridgeshire...

I'm hoping this will be a good platform to extend after the first season I know mate Hope this works out would be great if there was a county system in place just like the English Pool set up. If there was a set up for people to play for their county Im sure more people would want to play to represent their county...

A Midlands one would be rubbish though so you have North and South lol. Hope this does work out well. A national county system would be awesome.

Hi all,
We're currently in discussion with the APL (american pool league) to take on the administration side of the league. We've talked to the owners of the APL and because we're potentially bringing lots of members, they're going to do a special deal for us and let us use their services.
Basically it means that all my league members will get their results automatically updated in interactive league tables, discounts on loads of products, access to private league message boards and user areas with personal fixture lists and loads of other stuff. It'll also mean that they take on all the league admin and I don't have to mess around with calculating league tables.
Also, there is the chance for the Grand Finals winners to play against the champions of Northern Ireland and other European team champions, all paid for by the APL with the added chance of more cash prizes etc
So the question is :
How would you guys feel about playing in a pool league that charges an extra £5 a head in yearly admin costs. This would allow you to get all of your online stats, results, league tables, community forums etc. I really think this will benefit our league members but I'm just a bit worried about charging and extra fiver. Let me know what you think,
Matt

Any idea of start date? We have received interest from about 25 - 30 teams, although I am hoping to increase that to 5 0 or so within the next few weeks. Will probably try to start the fixtures from october, it all depends on how quickly everyone can get their entry forms, fees in etc Obviously all updates will be posted on pro9 If there is anyone out there who would like entry forms or more info, please do not hesitate to contact me

It would depend on the amount of teams from the south west entering in total but I would imagine that plymouth would be in the same group as dorset
