the break format is a killer.....one ball on the spot with the magic rack more or less makes the wing ball a dead cert, this aint good for the game hence why the eurotour changed the break to 9-ball on spot

very dissapointing when you come to a world championship and they use this break rack one on the spot on generous pockets with a world class field..and playing 9ball..

we dont have too many big money tournamets around now so we look forward to these tournaments more than ever ..only to be let down.. wwhat it means the average players become champions on this format before maybe 20 players could win the tournament now around 40 players can win and another 40 can go really deep into tournament..

there will be a lot of surprising results to you at home but to us we expect them nothings a surprise..basically you gotta see it to believe itt..

i played a decent player yesterday i made one bad mistake and one loose safety... he made around 3-4 bad mistakes lost the cueball everytime on the break but always got a shot lol.. beat me 9-3 could have been 9-1 .. i felt good but couldnt get a shot.and i was breaking good.just no lucky ..
but am not the only one and will not be the last.

as i said it dissapointing as lot of skill factor thrown out of window when most time only 6 balls left on table after break in this world.. whoever wins this will need to play good and be very very lucky simple.and get luck with draw also big factor.

anyway where all in same boat so get on with it and see what happens :-) hopefully be my turn to be lucky today and tmrw and the next days :-)

dyno... Pool world strikes again.

sounds like the last world championships in manila, went and watched it,soft break, guaranteed nearly same run out every time, even i would have fancied a decent run last time it was played in manila, this sounds similar

Karl Boyes GBR 4 VS 9 MLT Tony Drago

So Shaw GBR 1 VS 3 UAE Hanni Al Howri
Thomas Engert GER 3 VS 4 UK Craig Osbome

I can see the live scoring, but apparently some people can't! Anyone else getting that?

p.s. I'm going out soon, so if someone could addd Ossie;'s updates if you've got a second that would be really appreciated. (ps. Don;t fill the thread with individual posts, just keep editing and updating the same forum post. ((pps. Gooooooo Ossie!))
