Why so much negativity around MMTV? Its still great to play in. Yes, ive only played 4 times, but loved every single one, even the defeat to Ian.

Whilst i agree we need some big names back on there, for now, they obviously dont want to play each other...so we have to deal with the players who do want to play. I have already said this to Lunny, but this month i can understand not many challengers as its so close to Crimbo, but for £200 and the potential of a decent money game at the end of Jan if you win, surely there are some folk looking to play?

Certainly dont get how theres no-one in Cat 4 or 5 looking to take on me or Pamment. Were both pretty babba (no offence if you read this Danny) but its true.

To make it more appealing, if no cat 4's want to play me, i'll offer start (TBC) to the cat 5's if they fancy a game. I'll play for the minimum if thats all someone can raise too...i simply wish to play and continue (trying) to improve my game.

If everyone got behind it then we might see an upturn in fortunes, and who knows, maybe even some big games back on here.

Doc, you were slating Speighty for going into the game with me and risking his and his mates money with hardly any practice. Whilst i agree practice is vital, i take my hat off to him for having the nuts and desire to play....something which alot of players dont seem to have nowadays.

Im guilty of it myself sometimes, but it seems that in the pool world in particular, everyone is far too quick to criticise instead of gettin (or staying) on board and offering support.

Rant over, my fingers hurt

That's prob with English game that I've noticed since being here in US, we don't gamble unless its a dead cert or odds in our favour. Need to start growing a pair if mmtv is to be successful and exciting again imo

Tough game yes, ridiculouly tough i think not. Dont get me wrong chris and harty good lads and put in some fantastic performances together, but me and del can pot the odd ball on our day. Not saying we're favourites but we're prepared to put our own cash on the line and try to rise to the challange, best men on the day win and everyone has a few beers afterwards, happy days!

I guess I say ridiculously tough because there arent many games played on MMTV where the break and runs are consistently above 5 per match. I think they had 9/21 against Jamie and his partner, and 6 against Finch and Riggers. They have that table nailed but I aint saying you guys cant win. I rate your game up there with the very best cat 2's Adam and Dels a good stick too with some of the players hes beat here and in US. :)
