I never said it's dead, i said it's starting to die off!

I think that's common knowledge and just suggesting we (The players and supporters) need to try and help pick it up again....

A won't argue with your point though, Dixon does after all have a braincell, if you'd of said Two i might disagree!

It would be a shame to see MMTV die off as its given a lot of us amateur players a chance to showcase our talents on a larger scale to a bigger audience. I don't know why it's started to die off the past few months. Maybe a conflict of interest as I know Andy has taken over the White Rose at Osset and may not be able to put as much time into Vegas Bar? What ever the problem hope it picks up soon cos it would leave a little hole in the pool calendar each month.

Its nowt to with Andy imo, he can only put the event on, although it could be jazzed up in areas but the real issue is supporters turning up and its ourselfs to blame. been reading certain people on about gettin more behind this event but its the people who are spouting it are guilty of it , singo and dicko to name a few. we all need to start making more effort to go as when it folds we will all miss it. also i dont think the negativity on here helps by dicko as it seems people darent post opinions or challenges as they are scared of gettin their head bitten off. be nice to see some level 2 players get involved again as these are main event matches what we need to see on evening slots. i know work gets in way but guys like arfan, doc, andy app, matt, wadd, chris hall, ben finch, shane app all need to get involved again for the sake of UK POOL

Lol. Don't know how I've been spouting Gazmo. I've played on there a few times and always brought enough support for both players. How many times u played on/ made challenges/ gone to support MMTV? That's wot it needs

the 5 supporters per man not really the issue, the neutrals need to be in there to pack the place out, majority of players only go if they have a game which is the problem in my eyes

If a vocal minority have the opinion that it's just a bunch of choppers that negativity will grate on other people and eventually they will feel the same. It may just be a great co-incidence, but it seems the crowds have died as Cuesport TV have stopped streaming and that isnt a knock at Lee Rigby because the stream is fantastic. What I'm trying to say is that maybe having the stream be free is causing some locals to stay at home where booze is cheaper, free great quality stream and they can watch the pool in comfort of their own home.

Its only speculation and I could be wrong, but thats how I've percieved the situation.

Need more games like Finch/Barnett but problem is a lot of people cant get the loyal followings to make that happen. Again, I think some of that comes from having a free stream.

I wish some of the cat 1's would man up and play each other. I think a Mark Gray v Phil Burford re-match would be awesome to see.

Maybe allow more than just 9-ball as well? I liked it more at the start when the freedom was there to choose to play 10-ball, One Pocket etc.

straight pool would be good as well or evan 8 ball on american tables, but no matter what game is put on the table its all about filling the club and only people who can do that are us 'fans'

I think 14.1 is too much of a purists game would be hard for fans to watch, 8-ball would be good though. Just a little bit of variety and perhaps trying to revive things somehow will be good.

All this chat on here is getting so boring if you are not playing anymore just keep quiet and leave it to the players who actually want to play. I Personally cannot see any future in the game anymore even the gb9 as become boring which is really sad. The only future in pool nowadays is in the usa it is no wonder darren moved over there to play it is the only place that you can make some sort of living out of the game. rant over.

Why is it boring to suggest ideas?

By GB9 becoming boring do you mean because numbers have dwindled?

I have a friend who teaches in Thailand who says there are 2 or 3 comps a week where the winner gets equivalent of £300. And I'm sure Philippines must have a lot of comps/money games for the right players?

Well said baz, people are struggling to pull together the cash just to throw away at gb9, things will go back to normal, and even better with all gb9s plans and when people start having the money to spend again.

It's not that people don't want to play jus think it's a case of can't afford it at minute like a lot of us

Who is welltuned? This is an open forum pal so to say leave it to the players is just ridiculous! Without input from supporters nothing will improve.... We just need people to show up again! players, supporters, locals, strangers... (Even Dixon).. Let's get some atmosphere back in vegas bar! I might fail but next time i'm on i plan on forcing anyone i can to come and watch... I'm sure if the £2 a pint offer is advertised better that might help to!

That machine bird just comes out with negative comments all the time. he just tries to put anyone and anything down which is sad really. Is this because he is no longer a force in the pool world anymore i wonder ? I would love to see him play Andy appleton then the crowds would flock in to see this game. i have heard from a lot of people that he just hides behind that unique geezer. maybe unique could arrange this with his boy and then we could have a great crowd in to watch this game. i doubt very much machine will play though as he knows it is a game he won't win.

I get the feeling that there are a lot of people hiding behind others and other user names, Dixon wasn't one of them and wasn't afraid to speak his mind. He's been banned from pro9 so why keep bringing up his name/username? Is there nothing else to talk about now he's gone? It does seem a bit quiet
