Apparently they're using 4 1/8th inch pockets... Who's best with the tight ones?

I think Alex is better on the tight table. Shane is a package man and with tight equipment that's a lot harder.

Will be a good game that's for sure.

In regards to folks talking about the pockets being tight, Justin (TAR) stated, "These are that but will take a ball down the rail. Shane's 10 ball break, when it is at its most powerful, relies on the second ball in the rack going in the side and playing position on the one in the corner. I don't see these pockets having any effect at all on that." Personally I feel the tightness will have "some" effect on SVB's break. The second ball will still be going into the side, just not quite as often and a tad bit more then Alex.

When asked how fast the table was, Realkingcobra (the table mechanic) replied: "5 times the length of the table back and forth, and 9 rails around." Both know how to size a table up rather quickly; therefore, I see this as a wash.

Under these conditions, neither should run away with it. I think it will be a close and exciting match to watch. Frame of mind and fatigue play a roll ... lots of energy will be expended early on dealing with these conditions which could result in one or the other not making the more difficult balls later on. The one most mentally and physically prepared will be the victor.

I'm "slightly" leaning toward SVB. Both are outstanding shot makers -- there's no doubt; however, I feel Shane's break, physical condition, and ability to stay focused in the long term will be the difference in this.

good start for all the svb fans........up 35 - 31

interesting first night that was, with the diamond table n 4inch bags concentration had to be at a maximum, match started pretty good both players playing well, shane up 3 games at 7-4 breaking good but he kept making the one ball in the corner not good for him as thats his ball he usually controls off the break.....

alex got back in the match and a few mistakes crept into svb game, alex was playing good safety, and svb started missing everything, i fell asleep with the score 18-14 to alex

may not sound alot but on this table its a pretty nice lead as runouts are very tough, perfect position is a must....

so with svb seeming to be all over the place i just woke to see that he ran a 7 pack to close out the first night with a 4 rack lead........outstanding play on that table!!!!!

It looks likes there's very little between these two and as usual in matches like this it will come down to who is the fittest physically mentally when it comes down to the business end. Impossible to call IMO.

good man rich goin with svb, steady 200 ball slackner between me n si

defo gunna go close,i just feel if shane keeps his break consistent that will be the key factor, example from 28-31 down, next shot for paga will be when play resumes and hes 35 31 adrift

cant see shane doin what he did last time in losin a big lead if he gets one, more experienced

I predict this could go either way. I'm going to put my neck on the line and say SVB or paga will win this come the final 9 ball. I'm absolutely certain of it!

If you missed the 7 rack run put together by Shane Van Boening at the end of last night's action, you can see it again now, as TAR are streaming it on repeat until today's play starts.

I've also got a few 2 day passes available with our amazing 25% discount for sale here...
