Just woke up and read all this rubbish.

Lee.....you seriously need to calm it down. You are always going over the top with the banter which suggests you are taking it far too seriously and most definately taking it personally. Just have a week off from Pro9 and get your thoughts in order.

Phil....We will talk Thursday about your game with Lee but first he has to play me. When thats done, I am sure we can accommodate him.

simon 1st of all, im actually pissing myself at newman and his comments. not taking it seriously or personally whatsoever, remember i know how i feel not u making assumptions pal.
when i play him i will smash him like jam did, already told him play him when i get back from working away, with my money, not u putting kids up against me wanting me to lose.

Thats why your part of the deal, whatever i play phil The Player newman for 2k i play u for the same 1st or get ur kids who u back in order, shooting off trash, saying i play u, for this amount, when its ur money they are playing with, which we all know it is.

if you look back he started the trash talk pal, so think you need to get your facts straight, im taking the p i s s joking, but like you yesterday cant recognise this or take a joke, all i say if you boys give it but cant take it then dont start in the 1st place.

lol brett, your a character you are pal......... 'the player' i like it :-D :-D

I`m looking for a match as Kevin Uzzel had to pull out. Hopefully i can get a level game but i`m willing to give weight. Contact Andy Appleton if interested.

Cheers

Me if Wharton pulls out due to t+cs

What t&cs are these then? Thought MMTV played to standard rules?

Trying to move the goalpoasts bazza that's all reguarding the 3 point rule

Should man up and break harder then :)

You might be right. :)

However, I thought that someone might be willing to give a bit here, especially since I'm giving up advantages with regard to equipment (I don't really play American pool), venue (I've never played in this venue before, which can have an effect), discipline (I'm an 8-ball player playing 9-ball), and crowd (I'm under no illusions that most people there will be rooting for the guy they know, ie- him).

I asked for one thing, which was that we play BCA World Standardized Rules for the break, ie- that either 1 ball goes down or 4 hit a rail. I even said we could say 1 down or 5 hit a rail, if he was worried I was going to soft-break. I also assured him that I have no intention of soft-breaking, but that I do not have a big break, and I am not happy about being penalized for essentially being an 8-ball player on a 9-ball table. I'm not looking for an edge, but with the break as big as it is at 9-ball, I just don't want to be in a position where I'm punished for it.

So I give up all these advantages: I agree to play a guy at a game I don't play, in a venue I've never been to, on a table I don't know, in front of a crowd that is potentially partisan, and I ask for one small thing, which Andy said would not be a problem for him if my opponent was willing to compromise. But suddenly this guy starts harping on at me about the match not happening, and associated stuff, when I've never said anything about that. 4 times now he's intimated the game might not happen, so I'mless than sure why there is reference on this thread to me pulling out.

Anyway, I think the guy is being totally unreasonable. Or, to put it another way, if someone had said to him three weeks ago that he would get the chance to play 9-ball for a four figure sum against an 8-ball player that doesn't even play the game, but he'd have to make the small concession of not playing the 3-point rule, he'd have bitten their bloody arm off. Some people just want it all their own way, I suppose.

Rich its nothing too do with not wanting to play the match without the 3pt rule its to do with me backers wanting it..

Also you say that you are an 8baller well so am i.. I was in your postion against lee brett took the game and played too the rules which was told too me..

So i understand what ya saying but its nothing too do with how big ya break is.. the 3pt rule is not a big factor at all..

The only reason i was concerned about you not playing was so i could arrange another game in time too make sure i played on MMTV

About the 4 figure sum, I asked you in an earlier post how much you wanted too play for and you come back and said i will be bringing a "BAG WITH ME" so you set the price..

Anyway Andy tells me the game is on so good luck too you play well!! see you on the 19th ;-) ..
