CALLING ALL SOUTHERNERS CALLING ALL SOUTHERNERS....

I wont bore anyone with the rack by rack 6hr match report, because I genuinely dont think I could articulate it in a way that would give the experience the justice it deserves. (and no one would read it!)

However, in terms of MMTV as an event and whether or not you should give it a go?......

It was the most unreal atmosphere I have ever experienced in my pool playing life, Thanks (or not! lol) to Matt and his army of fans for making it what it was........anyone who watched will understand, and if you were there, thank you so much for the reception afterwards. A right rowdy bunch during the match but showed their appreciation afterwards which was very humbling, thank you all! Your man Matt did you proud, and it was awful to have a loser after such an unbelievable night.....

If anyone from the south was thinking its not worth the trip, if you fancy yourself as a player, or if you just want to experience and be involved in something quite extraordinary - you absoloutley have to get your name down on the list and have a go! I know for a fact that I will draw on that experience in future matches and tournaments - WOW........Just WOW!

from the MC (Andy) to the walk on music, to the introductions, to the interviews, the lights - you just cant beat it or repeat it anywhere in the UK..

I have to say thanks to Andy, the club, Cuesport TV team, Dylan, Phil, Alice & Alan my coach (Alan Bell is available at £20 an hour by the way - sound investment!)

I may come back on and reply to any further posts but for now, through sheer fear of waffling with adrenalin still pumping 10 hours on, I have to sign off....

see you at the next one.

Shotgun - Gave it both barrells!

i disagree, i think the 8 ball county sunday qualifiers are more entertaining, what with 2 frames each all day for travelling to other countys n the stupid dress code n the zero crowd attendance lol

sarcasm at its best

great write up ossie and i also agree its the best feeling in the world for me, it was also great playing along side ossie and matt but didnt see much cos i was focused on my match but the crowds was awesome, i want to thank andy and the staff who works very hard at this event and others too, and also a big thanks to pete and angie for there cuesport/tv, without that my family and friends wouldnt be able to view the result and watch some shots i played, and to all my fans who came you was B E A UTIFUL lol, hope you all come again in september. also like to say to sam hirst thank you for a great game and you will be one very hard player to beat in a few months and your time on mmtv will shine through soon.

In English Craig......You drink to much then say to much ;) Well done Ossie! Class match to watch, mistakes a plenty but to be expected with so much dough on the table......Unlucky Matt, you are a grat guy and a wonderful prospect, the game is looking strong with so many young players coming through........GB9 is soooooooo tough to win now a days! You were both winners in my eyes as the game needed a match like that.

Again unlucky Matt, you have such strong support mate and you deserve it, cant wait to see you win some big titles in the UK and then Europe!

The winner was 9 ball pool!

id say around a months time , say race to 21 one satday at barnsley n a rematch the following satday for same amount, nothing silly , id say around 150 a man . check mmtv dates so no clashes etc, n im easy on the match ( i.e not bothered where balls are racked , not fussed about order balls are racked n not fussed about 3 point rule). just happy to play whatever u want lol unlike the big boys who define every little rule
