Agreed. Are there any backers using this site? MMTV and Cuesport TV is a great avenue to see how great our players actually are. Would be great if there were people interested in back people. What a place to see them peform under pressure and the lights.

If I had the money I would be backing ABS, he has tools that's for sure. Just needs to get out there and mix it up on the circuit to see what can be done.

Like melling said last night there is a lot of people playing ad a hobby ad full time is not an option. Such a Shame as we have some quality players (in addition to the guys already kicking the rock about all over the world)

Imagine we could send another wave of players through the tour. I think I would be amazing.

Shame we can't do fund raiser, 9 ball program or backing competition where all prize money will go to supporting a season on the tour. What a prize that would be. Just to allow some real talent to have a shot for a season on the euro tour. I know that is easier said than done and it's all about money and backing and everything that goes with it, just a thought as I feel both Shane and Adam could give it a great go.

P

Do the lotto back undividuals in sponsorship etc maybe they could fund and event or something in addition to the entry fees. There is a lot of 8/9/10 ball success from the Uk wonder if that would give any leverage for some funds etc

Anyone ever spoken to the lottery before around funding or requests? Anyone been successful?

Wrong thread Gibbo but I'll give my view anyway. I very much doubt this will happen unless the ET change the way the events are financed. The ET (rather cleverly IMO) ensure the financial burdon and risks associated with setting up a suitable venue for a ET are met by the host nation. All previous attempts to prove that a UK ET event would be financially viable for the host have failed. If there was a club in the UK with 24 tables (so limited venue installation costs) and that club could make enough money out of food / drink etc. to pay the relevant fees to the ET then it might be possible. We obviously don't have such a club. So unless the ET have changed their approach it won't happen.

Of course, with David Morris at the helm of the GBPA (the UK's governing body), who is also closely linked to the EPBF, IBF & Euro Tour then that is one reason there might be a will to make it happen in some way. We'll have to wait and see.

Briggs v Lovell - bit of a chop fest ! Stronger player came through

Newman v TEM Dixon was a decent match up with the power pulling through

BARRY

i just scrapped through against mark 21-18 it was a chop fest as you can imagine to be honest could have gone either way all the way through
MARK played to his strengths....TV nerves got to me a bit

on the upside going from the feedback i got, it made for a great match to watch as no one new when or where the next big twitch would come from either of us
i did expect people to complain about the quality of our performance, but quite a few people said it made for great veiwing as the tension in both players arms was gripping to watch :-o

hopefully you may fancy a game on MMTV7 be great to get another game on there especially as a main player rather than a wildcard but eitherway would be good

:-P
