Thought I'd been taken off the list of players, told Andy ages ago as I hardly play anymore, only played once since last GB9. Can't wait to get on money match tv and start chopping around !!

I personally think MMTV is fantastic but feel it needs a bit of a shake up, it seems to be the same players on all the time, To be honest i cant actually see Ozzie getting another game unless Matt L challenges again, which is a shame because surely the top players should be playing. There is never really gonna be an even match so why not put the names in the hat and draw them within the cates? yeah sometimes a player will get a tougher game and sometimes a player will get an easier game. Im 100% certain that the 5 supporter rule is putting players off from the south, thats 2 cars, extra hotel rooms ect all adds up makes the game not worth playing as must profit is almost gone on expenses. Just my opinion not having a dig as think MMTV was brill to start with just feel its drying up abit

Just out of curiosity how many Southern players would be prepared to travel if Andy relaxed the 5 supporter rule?

I see where you are coming from Phil, but as far as I can remember every player that has traveled up has said it was worth coming for. The atmosphere at this event is crazy! If you love competing at pool you need to get on MMTV

Yeah i can see that, just what i have heard players saying, they would be willing to play but the 5 supporters rule puts them off coz then a loss is so expensive

A loss is always expensive :(
Aslong as those travelling with you are splitting the costs though and are intending on a good time whatever it really is worth it. Best atmosphere in Uk for 9 ball easy!!

andy did relax the 5 supporters rule for southern players a few events back but got little interest of serious note. the same lower cat players keep coming forward cos we got balls to play each other n take defeat as a learning curve not an ego denter like the top players. mmtv and uk pool need our top stars playing like shane app, eric dockerty, etc ... seems a massive shame such great players dont seem interested
