its funny hearing everyone take the weewee out of so and naturally assume it is him that has delayed or called the game off when it isnt...... all everyone is ever going on about on here is people only putting in challenges to people they expect to slaughter and how no one has got a pair.
then so steps up and challenges one of the worlds so called top players and even offers a start (just coz he is mental) and still that aint good enough for everyone either wot is a man to do these days???
at the end of the day so has put a challenge in that not many wood fancy even off levels just think he deserves some respect for that really and i hope he stuffs him aswell.

It's still very much a go ahead. Discussed with both players and they can't wait to get the game going. What was once a £500/man has now been upped to £1500/man with a £200 no show fee. As for the date, this will be decided in the next few days and will be one night in the next 10 days. [ This message was edited by: Stibily on 2013-02-19 20:45 ]

I'm afraid I won't have enough time to set up streaming tonight. I will try my best to record some of the action though. Sorry guys.

Has this happened? If so what was the final score? Or even the current score?

It wasn't the greatest match, no. To sum up, Raj outbroke So with the magic rack doing wonders. Averaging 2-3 balls. There were a few tweaks and misses here and there but Raj always seemed to have control over the match and also the cueball. Whenever So came to the table, rarely did he have a shot and really had to work hard to gain an opening. To be honest, it's the closest we've had to the old Victoria days in many a year! There was a good 20+ people watching. Players such as Imran, Drago, Riko came down to view the spectacle, along with local club players. Other notable faces were Sunny and James Akenhead. I have footage from around 10-6 to the end of the match. Sorry for not catching the whole match, or not providing a stream. I'll see what I can sort for next time. Next match could well be So vs Mark Gray, £1000/man. This is currently in talks and will update when confirmed. [ This message was edited by: Stibily on 2013-02-27 01:17 ]

Not not quite sure, the magic rack worked wonders is a fair comment.
The damage was well and truly done in the first 8 racks. I think it was 8-2 at one point. Raj broke big and played almost perfect at the start.
So got some bad rolls after that point and it could have been closer but So was never going to be able to compete in the break department.
I don't think anyone was under the impression this was going to be easy. Always a big underdog but at least he stood up and played someone. Most people would not play a 60/40 game.
Actually it would be good to see Mark Gray play Raj or Imran.

Well I'm in no position to answer that and I don't see that relevance of the question?
My personal opinion is that So loves pool and loves gambling and so that's what he does.

Raj loves a money game and I think this would be fascinating due to the contrasting styles. Raj more talented on the american pool table IMO but Mark rock solid and the latter virtue might just prove more important on the day. I'd love to see it come off. Here's a little warm word from Raj himself to keep the coals burning:
"I been begging Mark for years to play and he won't, he's got nearly enough heart as Richard Jones who agreed to play home and away and after getting owned in his own pool hall on his own table backed out of the arrangement, So has more more heart than them as he got up played the match he set."
