Hi all, its a 7 hour time difference over here... :)

Team Great Britain got off to a solid start tonite with a 6 v 0 win over South Africa, results r as follows:

Appleton/Peach 6 v 0 Dave Van Den Berg/Dino Nair (8 ball doubles)

Melling 6 v 3 Nickie Erasmus (8 ball singles)

Fisher 8 v 2 Nicola Roussouw (lady 9 ball singles)

Gray 8 v 0 Dave Van Den Berg (9 ball singles)

Peach 7 v 0 Dino Nair (10 ball singles)

Appleton/Fisher 7 v 2 Nickie Erasmus/Nicola Roussouw (10 ball mixed doubles)

Play again tomoz same time v India... Team GB will stay in touch............ P.S Venue here is awesome and good crowds or ready...... :)

Why have some teams only got 4 players,is it only 4 players needed but some teams.i.e England choose to have 5,just curious

As you can see, the original format was drafted for more teams, and the $300,000 prize money went all the way down to 32nd place - they've only got 24 teams, but they've kept the total prize money the same and split it slightly differently so that the mid-placed finishers will receive more cash.

Just finished our 2nd group match versus a stubborn India team we win 6v0 but could of been closer....
