Practice isnt overrated, its that the players that dont practice are happy where they are, and arent willing to practice to get better. Look at Chris, all that time on the diamond has made him a miles better player.

Its also that chris plays against better players that makes him improve.

What does it matter if people practise the game and stay at the same level? Might just have a passion for the game.. You always say I'm never off the table, fact of the matter is I only play once a week myself unless I'm practising for a match. It's obviously doing Chris Hall the world of good anyway all the hours he puts in on the table.

That is because he is a Natural talent also, some people have it some people don’t simple. I do agree that practice helps. But if I had a professional person teaching me 7 days a week I would still be only average at the game. Chris only started playing this game just over a year ago and to achieve what he as in that space of time is truly brilliant and that’s how people should be looking at it not on how long he practises for. Like Andy said also it is the quality of opposition he is playing too so good luck to him for all the time and dedication he puts in.

If somebody puts in seven days a week and gets to the top then fair play to them. Any negative comment I'm going to make is because I'm jealous that I can't do it. 3 kids, a Mrs a business to run all comes first. I love pool but practacing 1 or 2 nights a week just aint enough to improve. Try to practice anymore and business go's down hill, Mrs has an affair and the kids think your a terrible Dad.

More power to the people who can practice. I know I simply can't anymore. Do I miss it? Yes. Do I regret it? No. I am never going to be a world beater so keep playing once a week for a few quid, not get angry when I miss a few balls, go home to the wife and son and put in the hours at work....cause that's what pays the bills. All about the priorities people. Si

I did say to Craig Dixon on Saturday that i thought Chris would win 21 - 12 he looked at me stupid, but I was not far ot to be honest was I and i reckon you all thought i was mad for predicting such an emphatic scoreline but to be honest i gave him 3 too many ! Doc does your lass still want to come to GB9 ? Kirsty as booked a room and our lass as dropped out so she could share with Kirsty if she fancies coming ?
