Just wud like to say aswell.....biggest mistake ever to not put hatch in American team. He awesome player but more importantly the fear factor ov him n the way he gets the crowd fired up n gets under opponents skin. I guarantee ya, if his name not on sheet then the Europeans must av bin laughing their knackers off. Oni 1 player on USA team that bothered them n that archer. Fear factor totally gone, it's bin too easy for Europe this easy cos selection been all wrong on us team. Ok put 1st 3 ranked players in but use ya heads wi wildcard picks Jesus. Hatch is worth 3/4 points minimum imo n dechaine, Putnam n Morris to be in front ov him is reason why us ant got close this yr.

I thought that the american team seemed to almost give in when Europe won the first 2 matches. When SVB won I thought his celebration was very low key.

The turning point seemed to be when Putnam missed the 9 against Daz. Obviously I'm not saying that he would have won the match and USA won a few more, but Putnam seemed to lose interest. The only player desperate to win for them was Dechaine. Whereas all Europeans were playing their hearts out.

I thought it would be closer at this point, shows what I know. For anyone who is interested the stats so far are:
Daz, Ralf and Niels played 5 won 4,
Chris played 6 won 4
Nick played 5 won 2.

So with exception of Nick whoever wins the point for Europe will be MVP!! What a superb team performance, even by Nick cosif he hadn't have won his matches it would be 8-7.

GOOOOO EUROPE!!!!!

Out of curiosity, what were the odds on both teams before the Cup started?

my picks for todays singles:

1st chris
2nd niels
3rd nick
4th souquet
5th daz

gota stick chris on first, he is buzzing and i would play him when the least pressure is on and he would relish sealing the win, then a very solid middle order and daz is the most consistent player right now and he is perfect for the last game if it went that far.

All players on the Europe team are playing great. Nick has been very unlucky only winning 2 of his matches. If it wasn't for that fluke from Van Boening last night he would've won that match, certainly deserved to win it. Also the doubles match with Feijen against Archer/Putnam should've gone Europe's way and we would've won the cup by now!

I'd hazard a guess that without Archer, USA would have struggled to get half the points on the board that they currently have.

What an amazing team player and motivator that guy is..

It looks like, statistically, Niels is the MVP for Europe at the moment, only by the finest of a hair's breadth... Who do you think has/will be the MVP this year?

Im not a fan of the MVP award, as it breaks apart a "team" effort. I think alot of it could do with who hits the winning 9 (as long as we dont blow it!)

I would be very happy with Niels, he has looked very strong. Daz or Chris also. There is no bad choice for it! :-)
