lol the ratings are based on recent performance on money match tv, the ratings were changed to stop players trying to steal off lesser opponents, the problem with some players at moment they dare not take on a level game the fear of losing in front of a crowd, there for thankyou for your oppinions and sour criticism but to make this a sucsess leave it to the organiser to decide if any player is not happy then dont play simple.

see what ye sayin randy but puttin chun n jonny as 3s,theres no way on this earth are any of the other 3s goin to challenge them so bit pointless really, example,to put jonny c as a 3 after once playin on money match tv against chun is wild but like you said its your choice, jonny will be pullin his thingy when he reads this by the way.any player who takes a game on mmtv would like to think there fav to win the game espec if its there first time,i mean its not for fun theres a grand at stake aswell.

best thing to happen to 9ball this, seems like at times its hard to get match ups, like shane, barneyboi n arfan, guna take an experienced and confident 2 player to take one of those on

looks like our boys will be watchin this with no money at stake for once, might see what its like form the internet view n listen to some commentary from the choppers lol

may it continue for a long time, great show

i agree with shane, people want to cherrypick instead of challenging themselves in order to improve. i took a tough game with dixon and its helped me massively despite the result. test yourself boys and don't put your name down if you have no intention of playing it wastes andys time who puts a grest show on

the atmosphere is unreal and it makes u wanna play well.its something any pool player as to experience.i also think whatever players dont put any challenges forward should be taken off list imo.

as i am new to 9 ball i have to agree with you

i have excepted 2 challenges myself from players
one i dont know at all and one player i met once

to me the point of this is yes try and win some money but also try and use this to help boost my game, so i can be up there at some point with the big boys

there isnt ever easy money out there
just players out there trying to pinch it if thats there game then so be it but i am sure they will find it hard to pick up games below there level

i see a list with about 70 players on it but from what i have read there are only a few players that actually want a challenge
from 70 players i would expect to see at least 20 matches up for the 2 places available

i agree with andy come on guys.......dont get me wrong i want a spot on there myself, but i am sure players on the list must fancy a challenge from similar players somewhere

I cant speak for the myriad of 2s and 3s who won't play but for me as a 4 (now a 5) there wasn't really any players on the list of my level, and it appears to be frowned upon to ask for weight according to certain players.

So I've had to keep quiet while waiting for others of a similar level. Sod's law people pop along of same rating, while I'm just getting myself settled in a new job.

Myself and Aslam Abubaker were looking for Scotch game possibly in new year but didnt want to ask now as that is stupid! And I'll play any 5 once I am a little more settled in new job and my house is in order.

Looking forward to putting myself into the pit soon :)

Maybe they just wanted to get into the Sunday handicap event
and so had to get their name on the list Barney?

As for Match ups...
Anyone can play anyone!
Most of us Know the true speed of the players on the list.
If you want a game ask for or offer weight!

No big deal...
It will still make an interesting game and educate players
and spectators alike about the handicapping in 9 ball gambling

with the call/wild 7 ball
last three
7 and out etc etc...

On my trips to the US in an earlier life, I found the
haggling and woofing to make a game very enjoyable.
Why on earth should anybody frown upon it?
We are GAMBLING here are we not???

Still money games still a battle of will and skill!

-----------------
I have the ability to make the hardest shot look easy,
Unfortunately this is surpassed by my ability to consistently miss the easiest

i think people are forgetin theres a fair bit of money at stake aswell, every player that plays likes to think that they are favourite goin onto a game or your mindset wont be right imo,its all right sayin no ones steppin up to play anyone but some have been playin the game alot longer than others and have played for money many times, big advantage, whether there the same handicap or not means nothing

some 2 ranked players are very strong and some are weak 2 players,me thinks most players know this, barney is a good kid and has vasts amount of experience at money matchs and played 9 ball a while, not cuna get many 2 players jumpin in against him really, unless its the top rated ones, common sense really, nowt to do with havin no ballax or bottle, common sense
