Yeh probably worth lowering to 3, 5 spectators and 1 player is a difficult number anyway with most cars only taking 5

Hi andy cant do this month . But me and tom kennedy would be up for a scotch doubles match on mmtv 6 if you can sort a match out with 2 other rated 4 players. if not just myself in a singles game .cheers Dean Reeve

Yeah ive gotta agree as well, like Shane says the club is always packed out anyway and theres always a great atmosphere! If we dropped the rule, we could have Smith vs Barnett and Arfan v Buckmaster. Lets get some great games on!!

and if we did this who would foot the cost of running the event, maybe the players should pay a fee? if criteria cannot be met.

A car full would do so 4 plus the player is ok.the reason why it is busy on match day is because the players fetch support this rule is in place for a reason guys, its not hard to understand.

I think players are likely to bring support anyway, if you look at some players who have far more than 10 fans, if there opponent can only get 2 or 3 than it still averages out at more than 5 a man, for the southerners who will have to travel hours ad maybe stay it is going to be alot harder to get friends to come up and watc if they then have to fork out for a hotel as well, anyway your doing a good thing Andy good luck

I've got to agree 4 or 5 supporters is a big ask when you don't live local. Even for me just down the road in Barnsley it means an overnight stay in the Travellodge.

I understand why Andy has to do it - because the event needs to be paid for. I'm just not sure many people from further afield will be able to satisfy the criteria so, as Shane says, it might be difficult to sustain without having the same group of players in action all the time.

I would think the reputation of the event in itself will be enough to bring the punters in if good matchups can be found. Also, the better the match up the more people would tune in to CSTV pay per view so surely this would also go some way to paying for the event.

Why refuse a great match up because he can't bring 4 more people when 10 times that number might well tune in to the pay per view or visit in person to watch?

These events are truly awesome and I just hope they get bigger and bigger by getting the best players involved.

yes a totaly agree with you it is not easy and most people fetch more than 5,we are in talks with several sponsers at the moment and if this comes off then we can relax a bit, the crowds make it better atmosphere its electric, players who have already taken part in the event will tell you this we want to get more players involved from the south, there are some great characters down there, pool in recent years has suffered because in my oppinion has not been run quite right, gb9 has changed this over the last few years given players a chance to make a name for themselfs, And i would like to think that cue sport tv and money match tv can continue bringing pool forward in the uk and maybe over seas, we already have some big games lined up for future events, so all we ask of the players is understand were we are coming from am sure once you have played on mmtv and experienced the buzz being watched by other great players from around the world and the big crowds getting behind you, its a must for any player any level this is only the start of what will become the most talked about event around the world, MONEY MATCH TV + CUE SPORT TV TAKING POOL THAT ONE STEP FURTHER.
DONT MISS OUT.

id lower it andy, theres always going to be a full club at these events.

turning matchs down because not got 5 supportes is silly,

look at it in this context, would you turn Darren Vs SVB for 100k because shane not bringing 5 people?

the events massive and only going to get better.

everyone involved is doing a great job and with a few tweaks here and there the event could be unbelievable.

i can understand andy wants people in the club and to make money because it costs him.but i think if players are comin from a fair distance then id be more relaxed on the 5 supports policy.it would be a shame for players not to get games.look at arfan hes only had one challeneger but he cant play because his opponent cant bring 5 with him.
i just think if its local players then yes bring 5 but if there travelling from a fair way then bring 3.im sure most who play will bring plenty of support anyway.

Arfan could easily get a game, but a lot people wont play because there mates, but look at it like this, are new website is now online the player profiles the hype all matches will be available to view shortly, the players names will get known world wide, so if your mates keep winning are you just going to sit back till they get beat before you try and further your career, i think not win or loose your still mates lol.

I know what you're saying Andy but I wouldn't feel comfortable playing the following 2 rated players as they're good mates of mine.

Shane Appleton
Ben Finch
Dave Nelson

Having said that, there's still plenty of 2's on the player list that can challenge me. Obviously buckmaster has challenged me but unfortunately he couldn't meet the criteria Andy has set but sometimes it's not a bad thing giving the public a game they'd love to see even if it means breaking some of the rules youve outlined. In my opinion, the bigger the matches on paper, the more people it will attract to the club and also online via cuesport.tv.

I am going up to cheer on barney but if chris and arfan are on the earlier or later slot i will be there to watch and support both players surely this will apply to alot of the other supporters that are going up to watch the feast of pool that this event has to offer and i think this mmtv 5 will have a greater atmosphere than mmtv4 gutted chris cant get support for his match up would have been class... this one will be packed out!!!
