I really like this idea, the problem is value... its ok for you guys you have the upper hand being able to practice on the table, its also a benfit that the club is local to you guys, we have to travel, hotel bills, supporters, i would really like this to happen and il try and get some players interested but i dont think it will happen as not viable. we would need to play min £250 a man and players i dont think will risk that with all terms against us and the fact that in this style match you have to rely on others to perform.

Supporters wouldnt be a problem Phil as it would be a 5 man team anyway... 250 a man is fair like you say you need to cover cots etc.. See if you can get a team together Phil, and I'll sort one to match it? If Andy will let this go ahead?

Home advantage doesnt really make that much difference... Only a handful of players go in there regular, we might have 1 or 2 sessions on there before a game like this but most of the time I'm playing at my local club...
Be awesome to get this on....

1 table Harty... added atmosphere then... Surely 5 players off the MMTV list can get a team together. Format is all ready as I sorted it for mosconi before... Maybe team Lester fancy it as I know James Welch mentioned it to me at GB9?

First ive seen of all this. But a cracking idea Bean i agree. Taking a month off is quite probably a non-starter as Singo says...busiest day of the month for Shoka etc.
Problem is, it would be a very long game, and with Rhodes v Donlon (What a game by the way for the Xmas card) confirmed, would there be enough time? I very much doubt it if there was a close match.
Also, another thought...what about giving the current champions (or champions at the time when choosing the teams) the option to play. Most are local-ish (Tem the exception, and Kev would class as a northerner being from Derby) and getting a team of possible souther players matched up? Obviously needs to be as fair as possible players wise, but just an idea.

Doesnt have to be north v south, vegas v st albans or owt like that. Someone put up a 5 man team, and ill match it. I could put a 5 man up and let others match it but weve got loads of players to choose from up here..

Harty, are you actually the thickest bloke on Pro9? Can you not understand what i wrote Basically, it would take all day (if you disagree, fair enough) to play a full 5 man team mosconi style game. We play 3 man, mini ones on a thursday and they can take 4 hours. Fair point Mark, it doesnt have to be North v South, that was just an idea mooted before when we spoke about it, and just thought it could be an idea to ask the champions at the time first if they'd like to be involved?
