my stream is really slow because of constant advert pop ups..............is it my connection or are others experiencing this?

Sorry to hear that Kam. It's been fine all weekend for me.
The stream from Daventry is actually running at a much higher quality than previously used from this venue, and that is more likely to be the reason you may be experiencing unusual lag, not anything to do with the adverts.
Rebooting, closing other programmes down and keeping to the smaller size screen should all help make your viewing more enjoyable. Even giving your computer fans a good hoover whilst it's switched off can help boost performance too - don't laugh... It works!
Looking forward, assuming there's nothing wrong with your computer, it may be time to invest in a newer, more powerful model if you want to regularly watch good quality live streaming video.
