Time to share the info of the fabulous 10 Ball Break & Dish from The GB9 Paul Medati Trophy event at Telford this past weekend.
£1,840 was the amount rolled over from the first event of the season, so a £2,000 prize fund was advertised - an amount that was wildly exceeded as we sold a whopping £430 worth of raffle tickets taking the total to £2,270.
So with each ball worth a mega £227 the three vital winning tickets were drawn by GB 9 Ball Tour staff member Adam Stevens (who was suitably independent as he had no tickets).
1st 8 DG (Daryl Garland)
2nd 480 DE (Dave Evans)
3rd 77 DT (Dmitrijus Teriajevas)
*** SPOILERS FROM THIS POINT ON ***All three racks were placed by hand as usual, and all three were a little loose at the beck and slightly twisted, but crucially all were fairly tight at the front and the balls split well and with plenty of action on all breaks, but the first two breaks were dry, and then Dmitrijus made the ten ball on the break, but couldn't see the 1 ball and took £227. (Afterwards he attempted and failed to jump over the impeding five-ball, so it appears he definitely made the right decision).
Here's the video of the three raffle winner attempts...
