Hey all,
White diamond tip came off my breaker tonight for 3rd time and disappeared in a corner somewhere in the pool room and so, would rather just have a new 1 piece break/jump ferrule tip installed on it instead.
Was thinking that maybe Paul Talbot might be the goto guy, but thought I'd ask in her first to check.
Just asking Dave as I know you mentioned that you don't replace ferrules, only cue tips and I'm looking to have the original canvas phenolic ferrule to be replaced with a new one that is a solid ferrule and tip in 1.
Cheers,
Willie

Willie, looks like your ferule is not properly prepared or poor glue. I had my white diamond for 3 years. I used loctite gel glue, for me best one for cue tips, and made micro groves on ferule using stanley knife. Sand tip down using 100 and 320 paper and crack on mate.

Yep, I had installed the tip the same way with the same brand and type of glue, same method, etc.
I'll get another tip and give it a bash to see if it will stay on better than previous tip did and failing that, I'll just send it off some place for a new break/jump ferrule.
Cheers pal

Use freshly opened glue Willie.
Loctite recommend keeping opened tubes in the fridge, and even then, the glue deteriorates... I use a new bottle/tube at each event and date them, and then just use the old bottles for jobs around the house.
