I reckon a maximum break is 396 or 428 if you start with a free ball.

(1)a free ball at start will only be classed as a red not the power ball imo so that would give 16 points for red n black if in power zone. this is up for debate it could be 32.
(2) 396 = 9 r 9b in power zone inc power ball is x 4 =288
(3)y =8 g =12 b =16 b =20 p =24 b =28. total =108
TOTAL in 1st rack = 396 + free ball points ( 16 or 32).
now this is my second point up for debate - say the loser broke in the last rack, that means its the break builders turn to break, not sure if the break carries on into next rack but if it does there are 2 outcomes:
(1) he breaks no ball is potted but the break continues ( not penalised for not making a ball), then a further 396 is added giving 808 or 824 from free ball scenario.
(2) if the break ends if no ball is potted off the break then for the break to continue and to maximize the break he must break pot the power ball only giving him 2 points (or would it be 4) then all other balls landing in power zone and making an additional 392 which gives 394 0r 396 .
so the total in 1 rack is 412 or 428, if break carries over into next rack its either 806, or 808 using 412 or 822 or 824 using 428 lol
the only other outcome could be the fact the break builder has never missed so his break continues into the 3rd rack on his next visit to the table in which case the maximum could be infinity lol
what does every1 think? thick people need not get involved, i reckon lee rigby might have an input he seems quite clued up

im not sure if power ball is worth 1 point in open play or 2? also not sure if the power ball in power zone gives 4 x amount on balls after power ball only or it includes the power ball itself. ive based my breaks on that it does but more i think about i dont think its included so my breaks may be over by a few points

gazhopkins you are insane, lol

I commented this on Norwegian Eurosport yesterday, so I know the rules ;-)

I believe the correct answer is 808, hahaha.

Scenario: Opponent breaks, you get free ball, cleans up everything from behind the line in 2 minutes.. Thats 412 points.

Then you break, white ends up behind the line on every shot, clean the table in 2 minutes. Thats 396.

Total 808.

Inning ends because your opponent has the next break.

In theory..
