Thanks Daryl, I hope that it is true but it is strange that I haven´t seen this information since I keep myself very well informed.
But either way, yes, it is a brilliant result to get into the top 28 in the first year.

Does anyone have a link to the info about the World 9 Ball Qualifying criteria set down by Matchroom and the WPA last year?

Dave where do you find this stuff? Have you got some pool pixie under the desk, passing you all these facts and figures?

Interesting reading all the same. Keep feeding the pixie :-D

Has the criteria been changed for 2006 then?

Can you post the full crieria as an article again for all to read?

Cheers :-)

there is a link to the WPC site at the bottom of Dave's post which has all the details about 2005

I have never seen the 2006 details published anywhere yet though, although they are clearly quite different as we have no direct spots for UK players anymore...

How do you know about the no direct spots for UK players? Was this published somewhere ? Or was it by word of mouth or some other means?

I think Mike is referring to the spots we usually got from Matchroom for Doug's Tour.

I think I was referring to the 6 spots we got last year from Dougs and Teds tours - combined quals held at Victoria! But in hindsight also any other spots that were given direct to the UK players!

Yeah there seems to be nothing at all for the UK players now, which makes sense in a way as we are treated the same as the rest of the euorpean countries... gutted for me though as I am up to number 7 on the bpppa rankings now so would have been in with a shout for the first time!

So if the first 16 in last years WPC were all European, in theory Europe could have 75 players!!!!!!!!!
