Just got back from Finland................!!! Thoroughly enjoyed this event, and certainly like the idea of playing in a shopping centre... Get a lot more people watching and creates a better atmosphere to play in... First time ive had over 200 people watching me on a euro tour event (tho it was against Mika!!) Well done to Karl on getting to yet another final and securing his Mosconi place, well deserved pal... And also Chris getting to last 16 without his own cues...!! Well done to Tommi and everyone else for organising this event and am really looking forward to going back next year............

well done to the brits one semi and one finalist good showin once again. Karl certainly is runnin hot and fair play to him someone or somethin has got him back in love with the game and its showin with the results he's gettin good luck in the mosconi mate. Mark another semi great tourney for you amazin really how you consistently do it despite holdin down a full time job and not practisin hardly at all. Surely someone out there must be watchin you and thinkin this guy is consistently gettin to the latter stages of events and is worth sponsorin/backin like the other top boys have, then you could devote a bit more time into the game cause there is no doubt in my mind you are every bit as good as everyone.

The dominance of the English players was visible again, this time at the Euro Tour in Finland. five Englishmen in the eighth finals, three in the quarterfinals, two in the half, and one in the final. It was the Dutchman Nick van den Berg that the British army called for a halt. Last month, van den Berg half, this time he is not messing around: he defeated in the single knockout phase successively Ruslan Chinahov (8-5), Tony Drago (8-7), Daryl Peach (8-2) Mark Gray (8-1) and Karl Boyes (8-1). The curious thing is that Nick since the finals in Austria no longer had touched cue to the beginning of the tournament in Finland.
With his victory not only earned van den Berg Euro 5000, he also makes another good chance to be invited for the Mosconi Cup, eight years since winning his debut, back in the York Hall in London will be held. With his victory, he rose to third place on the Euro Tour rankings, with good views of a further increase.

well done again to the brits..... well done to Karl, fair play and well deserved......Mark - great tournament, cueing the best I have seen him in months!! Peach did well to battle on through, not his fault if people chop against him left right and centre, all he can do is take the balls out when people miss.....Apple back in the mix, Jim cueing well but injured himself in the gym (kitchen more like! )never mind... Chris Melling - how many knock backs can this kid take and still come through! after the rollercoaster he has had to turn up in Finland and then have none of his gear turn up, most people would have surely jumped on the next plane home and just sacked off the event - a few matches later, 4 different cues, someones pants, a new pair of trousers, Jonni Fulchers size 10 shoes, butchwhakers shirt and a whole lotta heart - what a performance! hat off to you.... no.1 spot and mosconi not far away for you either i think.....we had our differences but credit given where it is definitely due. Ossie. No.9 but no idea how!....

forgot to mention the Butchest man on ET - the Butchwhaker himself - well plaid that man again - sneaking through and could have beaten Chris if not for some rediculous finishes and combo's....doesnt get much credit with all the other brits stealing the limelight but another great performance from him too....
