Just to remind everyone the closing date for entry forms and room booking is today. We'll be contacting reserves starting next week if any registered tour players have not entered. Entry details for the event here: http://www.gb9balltour.com/event3details.htm

Well done to everyone for remembering to fill in their forms by the deadline. Only 6 of you failed to do it this time compared to about 50 of you last time lol. I'm in the process of offering reserve places to the people on the reserve list so if you are not on the list but would be interested in playing in the GB9 British Grand Prix in July please join the reserve list here: http://www.gb9balltour.com/reserve_list_request.htm

4 of the GB9 team were in Daventry this weekend getting ready for the event next month and I have to say I am so looking forward to this event. It's a beautiful large modern hotel with in a superb location. This will be the first time we will have had all 16 tables in one room with more space between tables and for spectators than at any of the previous events. And after a successful test run we can be sure there will be no problems installing the table lights this time. Should be a cracking event. [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2010-06-21 08:28 ]

Also, whilst the Challenge Division is full at this event I do have a couple of pro reserve spots so if anyone fancies mixing it with the big boys in the UKs' biggest ever 9 ball tour event just get in touch via GB9 website. [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2010-06-21 10:36 ]

Just one week to go now and we really do think this will be the best British tour event ever by a long way. We are very happy with the venue and event preparation. No wobbly floors or crumbling walls / ceilings to worry about this time. Just a bright, big, modern central venue which will make the perfect setting for players and spectators.
Great effort from the rest of the GB9 team so far on this one and I hope everyone enjoys it and is looking forward to it as much as we are.

Due to an upcoming operation this will be my last gb9 event for a while (at least this season) so hope to sign off with a few wins as had a trash year so far on all tours unlike last year when I got in top 32 of main tour.

just an idea, but why not use this venue for all events next year, modern, more room for spectators and lighting can be put up and also more central for everyone. just a thought, dont want you boys from leeds doing 5 hour drive

Lee,
Thats why I used the word hopefully! At my current standard I can't exactly complain if I lose to anybody let alone a class act. I'm just happy to be a part of the tour now and I plan to improve quickly through a lot of hard practice between each event. So long as I enjoy myself playing the game and can see an improvement in my game it is all gravy to me! And I quit English 8-Ball because I wasn't enjoying myself over there and put in probably my worst ever performance at a pool table at the World Masters on Saturday!

Hi Phil, I think there might be a pro reserve spot available as per Lee's post above if you're interested. I'd contact him using the mail address available via our website if you want to check. Cheers, Jonathan. [ This message was edited by: nicknameless on 2010-07-07 20:21 ]

Sorry to hear that Tony. Hopefully you'll draw me and that should guarantee an easy passage in Daventry. See you next week mate.

Does anybody know what the score is for the Barcelo Daventry and what is available locally for entertainment? The reason I ask is that I'm up there alone and I had a vivid nightmare last night that I lost a match 8 - 9 from a golden break in the 17th rack and it all went a bit "Shining" with me having a bit of a mental breakdown with being stuck at the hotel for three days by myself...
LOL!

That was a joke by the way, I just want to have fun this weekend and hopefully do a few things to fill the time that I am inevitably not a part of the finals...
