it won't be long until he has 12 threads all on the homepage, with no replies, but still at the top because he's taking a fullstop out of the original post or adding a comma.
why doesn't he just pay dave for his own section on the site?!
i don't really have a problem with the guy apart from his "big man" attitude and ruining this forum.

i'm assuming the club will be open fairly early tomorrow so i can get a bit of practice before the off? See you all tomorrow even though i'm using a different cue cos my ferrule cracked on tuesday and my arm is very sore from my new tattoo!

Will try and fill people in but I am absolutely knackered.
It was a LONG day, the multiple group stages were very draining, eventually it got down to the final 2 groups with the top 2 going through from each to the semis.
If I remember rightly, groups were:
Kevin Uzzell
Damian Massey
Chris Buckmaster
Tony David
Simon ?
Gareth Esprit
Phil Burford
Matt Hyden
Tony Burton
Jonathan Mathers
Absolutely no idea how the second group got on, but it was a toss up between Kevin, Damian and Tony for the semi spots.
Big Dave turned up late in the day and they have internet connection at the club, so you could see some more info at some point tonight.

must say i enjoyed the tourney but i agree i was knackered by the end of group two.didn't get a rest between any of the group matches and only about 10 mins between the 2 group stages.
agree that it maybe should have gone to a knockout after the first group stage.....solihull's a nice club though....if a little hot

Well done Andy for a very well run event. I was also very impressed with the club's facilities especially the condition of the tables, which, although some looked like they were a little worn they still played really nice. It's always difficult to judge the right tournament format for an event, especially when there's so many tournaments cropping up these days, so people quite rightly are trying their best to come up with something different each time. I do like the group based tournaments because it gives good value with plenty of matches and this is reflected in the good turnout Andy achieved. On reflection (easy to look back!) I would have played longer races (even if only to 7 that extra 1 makes a big diff) and then sacrificed the use of groups after the first stage to save some time later on. Maybe sour grapes from me 'cos I didn't come through the group after winning my first 2 and then narrowly losing the next 2, but I just think race to 6 is too short for 9 ball  It was still a good tourney though, great fun, lots of matches and good to see someone taking the time and effort to run it properly. I have to agree. It makes the day seem to go on forever, even though its good value for money. Groups then maybe straight ko or even double elim maybe. Especially as I had a 195 mile journey home and was cream crackered lol. Great tournament though and I enjoyed it, even though it was just TOO hot in there.
