0 spaces left now unpaid. If you want them better make it quick as there are still 13 entered players who haven't paid. **Event 2 is now open for entry. Only the first 32 players will be accepted [ This message was edited by: essex_pantha on 2015-01-27 12:15 ]

Players Gearing up for the new season Amateur Series 2015 Event One Preview Total9ball is back in town this Saturday for the first edition of the new Amateur Series for 2015. The interest level has been very high for this event but with only the first 32 paid players eligible to play, some left it to long to enter and will unfortunately miss out. The Total9ball Amateur Series now in his 6th season will again use the trialled and tested 2x format, all players are randomly placed in the draw twice, therefore one player can scoop the Winners and Runners Up Prize money at one event by remaining undefeated throughout the whole day. The Draw was completed on for Event 1 on Wednesday 28th January and im sure you will agree we have some cracking first round matches… Friends will collide as Courtney Symons takes on Nick Hampton, This is not the dream draw for Courtney or Nick and it doesn’t get any easier for either player in their 2nd matches as Courtney will need to be at his best to defeat in-form Aslam Abubaker while Hampton will have a battle on his hands against talented Mark Foster. Phil Wildman’s season will begin against Lionel Brown, Lionel has been playing some brilliant pool lately and with the handicaps involved it’s hard to pick a favourite in this match. Wildman’s second match will be against one of the pre-tournament favourites Sunny Garib. Mark Parker Takes on High Wycombe ace Dale Cadet. Dale has recently been entering a lot of T9B events and its really showing as he is making giant strides in improving his game, this was shown recently when he defeated Craig Osborne, Dale was given a head start in racks however it’s still a great confidents boosting result to hold his nerve against one of the UK'S biggest 9ball talents. Mark Parker will then be involved in one of the Matches of the First Round against Ashik Nathwani. Ashik showed towards the end of last season some brilliant form which saw him cruise to the Semi Finals in the last two events. Picking a favourite from this field of exceptionally talented players is a very tough task, In my opinion with the handicaps taken into consideration there isn’t one player in the 32 who can’t win this event if producing there A game. It’s so open and for that reason I personally can’t wait to get the games started and the new season underway. Dave Evans won the first event (T9B Euro Tour Qualifier) of the season just a couple of weeks ago and booked his space in the newly created Total9ball Champion Of Champions event held at the end of this season. There is already £500 added to the prize pool for this exclusive event and this amount will increase event by event. 15 other event winning players will join him at this event. So who will take down this event? I have opted to take two players against the field- 1) Aslam Abubaker – Aslam has really hit top gear form wise of late. Aslam signed a new sponsorship deal recently and also gained sponsorship from Total9ball for winning the popular T9B Rookie Championships 2014, this has enabled him to practice daily and enter all the events he wants to. Aslam is in my opinion the best disabled player in the UK and I expected another fine performance from him this Saturday. Aslam has been reaching the latter stages of events recently and has proved before he knows how to get over the winning line. Although he has been achieving great results recently he has managed to keep his scratch handicap and this makes him an extremely big player and he is my top tip to win this event. 2) Sunny Garib – Sunny has never really produced what he is capable of at Total9ball events. We do however know the talent he possesses, this was shown when he defeated Chris Melling at a GB9 event. I expect Sunny to make a good start to the season and as long as he is available for future events he can have a very successful season. I have just picked two players but again as I said earlier… I could write a paragraph about all players as I believe this is our most open event to date. We will have all the answers to this event on Saturday and if you’re not lucky enough to be part of this fantastic event you can follow the results as they come into the desk here- http://www.total9ball.com/#!live-scores/c1y0y(just click on the 2x tournament bracket) Missed this event? Well make sure you join us for Event 2 on Saturday 28th February at High Wycombe Hurricane Room. To enter simply text Phil on 07795535051 or Mark Parker on 07764-485711 and arrange your entry payment as this season only the first 32 paid players will be accepted to each event. Also something to note is this season only players best 6 out of 8 event results will count towards each players final ranking therefore as long as you play 6 events you have the same chance as all other players of winning the £500 ranking challenge (£500 split between players ranked 1-3). Also the top 32 ranked available players at the end of the season will be invited to the T9B Amateur Series, Grand Finals (Prize money added). Thanks to T9B's sponsors Dynamic Billard and Hurricane Room. T9B would like to wish all entrance good luck for this event. [ This message was edited by: wildman147 on 2015-01-29 14:20 ]

I'm just an 8ball player mr c .. only play in 9ball comps when no 8ball events are on, quite happily give you a start if you ever fancy giving it a go.

He's a scratch player, and you are way too good for him unless you wanted to give him a start?

Yeah T9B handicaps are cool. Didn't think I would be able to play event 2, but all of a sudden I can. So if he would like to play a set on that day for £1000. That would be great.

Imo that would be a good match. I'd slightly favour Brian but only a small handicap needed depending on race length. It's the perfect match as could quite easily see both players Winning and the the winner either way would have to play well to be at the other. Get it on lads. Happy to supply a table and think we could get some good side betting on both sides.

I'm impartial here as I get on with you both. I think Nick +2 to 15 is fair and a good game or Brian -3. [ This message was edited by: wildman147 on 2015-02-12 23:52 ]

How I see it is that the last 2 T9B's I've gone out first round both sides. So perhaps I should be a +1. Brian on -1 makes a fair game 4 to 15. I'm not one to suggest stupid games - just fair ones.
Final offer - 4 to 15 for £500 2 to 15 for £200 - don't mind playing for throw away money on an uphill battle, but more than £200 it has to be fair
