You said earlier in the thread that you had been using Pioneer. I've found that to be shocking. In fact, it must be cheap as the prison I work at buys it in bulk for the wing's marbles table.

...But I repeat - know nothing that effectively gets rid of 100% of chalk stains on cueballs.
Can anyone else chip in on this? Shame that Telford is so far away as I'm curious to see what a £1k ball cleaning machine looks like! Just tried the cue again - it's just a different game. I'm half happy and also half annoyed that I spent years playing at 50% - I agree with the guys saying that evil chalk shouldn't be sold! If we are talking about magic eraser sponge £1 from Morissons so i have to say that never had anything better for cleaning my cueshaft than that. Never tried anything from pro9 shop that why my expierience is limited but if it works so good for cue it must do the job on cue ball as well.

I built a ball polisher using a plastic bucket and a car polisher (works great and didn't cost 1K).
Ball cleaner is good stuff and will take most of the marks off the balls (with a little elbow grease).
I use the golden brick (can get one from pro shop) and find it better than the bow tie IMO.
Kamui chalk is my favoutite and if your table needs a good clean try the Simoni X1 (again from the pro shop), this cleans the table AND gets rid of the burn marks on the table from breaking...... honestly this works.

Thanks, funily enough i made my own ball polisher in exactly the same way yesterday. There is something about being able to properly that has made me improve me set up. I still can't get over how much difference changing chalk has made.
I've just looked at this simonis X1 - not cheap but if it's even as good as a really thorough brush then I guess it would be useful. I'm sort of musing about it. Surely it can't remove heat marks though? I thought they were where something happened to the pigment.

I mentioned this to BDK at a GB9 event (he was very wary until someone tried it on the extra table) it works.

Right, the simonis X1 was delivered next day from the Pro Shop (super fast as usual).
It's a pretty good device, fairly well made. Whether it's good value depends on a lot of things but I'm glad I've got it.
It certainly won't remove genuine burn marks, but is quicker than a brush for getting rid of chalk and doesn't spread chalk everywhere. With the Kamui chalk especially this is a useful device. If anyone was interested I could upload a simple video.
