Hi all, This is my first post in a few years!! Feels strange being back on the scene again!! Any how as most of you will know I am pretty good at tipping but unsure of what to do with my cue lol. I have an everest tip on it with the black pad at the bottom of it, so I want to put a Moori on it but cannot decide if I need to leave the black pad on the cue or if it is ok to take it off and put the tip directly onto the the wood ferrule. I have put one on a cue before but never had to take one off and now not sure what is right or wrong. Any how, see you all at the next GB9 event in August. Phil Morgan

Not if it's an OB cue..
If it's an OB cue with a black tip pad, the pad should never be removed and it should be considered as part of the shaft.
