  The 2011 World 9-Ball Beijing Open is a world-ranking event of the World Pool-Billiard Association. It will be staged at Beijing Yuetan Stadium(Yuetan South Street No.1,Xicheng District,Beijing) From April 25 to May 1.

The game include men and women divisions, the champion of the men division will be awarded $40000 and the woman champion will win $26000. Interested Players can register by

As if to emphasize the quality, nine of the current top ten players have played in the Mosconi Cup

The next qualifying event is the Beijing Open which takes place from 25th April to 1st May.

Points for Mosconi Cup will be given at this event

Bandar Seri Begawan - Three national 9-ball pool cueists left for China yesterday to take part in the WPA 9-Ball Beijing Open 2011 from May 25 to May 1.from Brunei

Francisco Bustamante, Antonio Lining and Dennis Orcullo from the Philippines are expected to take part while from Germany are Ralf Souquet and Thomas Engert.

Only the players who participated in the Beijing Open and will compete in the World Ten Ball Championship next month are qualified to join in the Gap 10-Ball event, according to WPA president Ian Anderson.

the tournament set up is great, shame the organisation from the wpa is wrong. i was supposed to be playing vinacio menidina from philipines but he aint here so now they have decided to put either steve moore ot diaz in his place in the losers bracket even though they aint played a match, they should be able to play their 1st game but the wpa didnt know that the other players were not here, i told ian anderson to do a roll call at the meeting then u nknow who is here, its a shambles, bit of common sence wouldnt go a miss
