Mickey Flynns 10-Ball updates and results
Mickey Flynns 10-Ball event is underway with even the biggest superstars from the world of pool and snooker making an appearance.
Majid, Appleton, Gray, and Diks are all here but the biggest of the big names must be Snooker's 2007 Welsh Open and Grand Prix Champion, Neil Robertson, from Australia!!! (Yes, I'll be trying to get an interview!!!)
40 players have attended after the 50 players signed up, apparently it's often the same ones that don't turn up which is proving irksome to Tournament Director Richard Jones.
"Read More..." for the details.

Robertson Falls to Rico Diks in Last 16 at Mickey Flynns 10 Ball
Australian snooker star Neil Robertson looked cool, calm and collected on the pool table adding a touch of class to this event, and he clearly enjoyed his matches here despite never playing 10-Ball before, but ultimate he fell to the classic mistakes that all newcomers make when changing to the American table.
Despite the deadly accuracy only bestowed on the very top snooker players, at various stages of the event the Welsh Open winner missed powerful kick shots that checked up of the cushion, played the two-ball when the one-ball was still on the table, scratched numerous times off the break, and had over-powered shots rattle and spit from the generous pockets, but he took his luck in good humour and gave us a hill-hill thriller to watch in his Last 16 stage match-up with Dutch pool star Rico Diks.
The score went 1-1, 2-2, 3-3, all the way to the 7-7 double hill score with both players getting a crack at the "cherry", but Robertson missed a tough shot in the final rack which gifted Diks with a four ball run-out for the match.
Watch out for a great Pro Tube interview with Neil Robertson on Tuesday!
Walsh draws "toughest route" to final in Last 16 stage
David Walsh has a huge smile on his face after drawing EuroTour Number 1 ranked player Mark Gray in the Last 16 - and winning the match, only to be rewarded with meeting EuroTour Number 2 ranked player Imran Majid in the Quarter Finals!
He won that match too and will now face either the talented Craig Osborne, or the Mickey Flynns reigning 10-Ball Champion Ricardo Jones!
Good luck Dave!
Craig Osborne and Darren Appleton share the spoils by splitting the cash for the final.
Who wins when "Dynamite" meets "Shotgun" in the final?
We'll never know who would have won the final, as once again the two finalists split the cash at Mickey Flynns 10-Ball despite Craig "Shotgun" Osborne actually beating Darren "Dynamite" Appleton in the group stages earlier in the day.
Appleton beat Snooker's Challenge Tour player from Australia, Vinne Calabrese in the semi-finals, and Craig snatched his place in the final by winning the last two racks after David Walsh missed a ten ball. Craig broke and dished the final rack to double Walsh's pain.
A great day at Mickey Flynns again, thanks to the staff once again for looking after us so well, and hopefully we'll have another good turnout for the next one in three weeks time.
