Snooker Scene is edited by BBC TV's "voice of snooker", Clive Everton, and has been in business for 37 years, not only as a journal of record but as a campaigning voice on behalf of the game's best interests.
Initially, it covered only snooker and billiards but in the last few years it has taken an increasing interest in pool, which now has its own monthly section. "There is a solid core of interest in snooker but it is clear that pool is a rising force and that anyway there is some carry over of interest between the disciplines," said Everton.
"We want to get behind any progressive new development and to that end will be running a feature on GB9s first two tournaments in our May issue and reports on its subsequent events. We are also compiling for our website a directory of clubs where snooker and pool can be played."
