8th Annual Predator International 10-Ball Championship

Las Vegas, NV- An army of Europeans are assembled to take down the crown this year at the 8th Annual Predator International 10-Ball Championships. The Dragon Promotions produced event will be held May 12-17,2008 during the BCAPL National 8-Ball Championships at the Riviera Hotel and Casino. This year players from Spain, Hungary, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Finland, Great Britain, Portugal, Austria, Malta and Netherlands will be looking to win on American soil again and in Las Vegas once more.

The European squad will be lead by experienced World Champions such as Ralf Souquet , Mika Immonen, Thorsten Hohmann, and Oliver Ortmann. At the forefront will be reigning World 9-Ball Champion Daryl Peach of England, looking to take his first shot at international 10-Ball.

"It's an honor to be invited to play in The Predator International 10-Ball Championship. This event in Las Vegas I hear has multitudes of great fans and I'm looking forward to playing in this kind of atmosphere. Even though it's home-court to the USA players, I think myself and the other international players are going to make a good run of it. Europe winning here in the same city a few months ago at the Mosconi Cup proves that it can be done."- says Daryl Peach, The Reigning World 9-Ball Champion and member of Europe's winning Mosconi Cup Team last year.

The United Kingdom will have a strong team of players with not only Peach, but players such as Imran Majid (former Europe #1), 3rd Place World 9-Ball finisher Karl Boyes, and strong up and comer Darren Appleton. England has been on a meteoric rise in the pool world the last few years.

Spain will also have a good chance to make some noise with five players including David Alcaide, Antonio Fazanes, Carlos Cabello, Amalia Matas, and Diego Simon. Cousin of that group, Manuel Gama of Portugal (3rd place finisher last year's World 10-Ball) will also make his second appearance.

The strongest contingent from Europe will be Germany. Six players will join, three of them World Champions. Just between Souquet,Hohmann, and Ortmann alone, there are five World Championship titles. Add in factors such as World Pool Masters Champion Thomas Engert, Euro-Tour top player Christian Reimering, and World 14.1 Top 10 finisher Nico Otterman. Engert also won the Predator 10-Ball Championship in 2006.

Other notables will be Derby City 9-Ball Champion Neils Feijen(NED), former European Champion Marcus Chamat (SWE), World 8-Ball Champion Alex Lely (NED), World 9-Ball Semi-Finalist Vilmos Foldes (HUN), and French Champion Stefan Cohen.
