Britain's biggest and best 9 ball tour ever!
What links the reigning World 9 Ball Champion, the reigning EuroTour No.1, The reigning UK No.1, the reigning Scottish No.1, the reigning Irish No.1... Well, I'm sure you get the idea... And I'm sure you know the answer too! YES... It's GB9 Ball Tour time again, and with the list of entrants looking like a European list of 9-ball superstars, Pro9 will be there reporting with up-to-the-minute results, photos, videos and interviews... Heck, even The Pro Shop will be making an appearance!

128 GB9 Ball Tour players will descend on Croydon, along with tournament officials, suppliers and the media - this looks set to be another great weekend of pool - I just hope they're ready for us!!!

The prize fund at each of the six planned events tops the £11,000 mark, with three tournaments on each weekend, comprising of an elite "Professional" 32 player event, a "Challenge" event for the remaining 96 players, and the "Main" event for the full 128 player field.
Former Mosconi Cup player Imran Majid had a superb event taking down both the "Main" event, as well as "The Pro Cup" to sweep up a tonne of cash, a pair of trophies, and two of the most prestigious number one ranking spots in pool!

Majid is based in London, and at Croydon he will surely be trying to consolidate his supreme ranking position with another good performance, this time on familiar territory. His main threats will be from Gray, Peach, Appleton and Mathers who are also both in the top ten rankings of both Pro eligible events.

The Challenge Division is headed up by youngster Thomas Ainsworth-Smith, who stormed to the top of the vacant leader-board after an absolutely inspiring run through a formidable sequence of opponents. A terrific 10-4 win over the talented Tony Burton in the semi-finals was followed up by an incredible nail-biter of a final, winning by the smallest of margins (10-9) over Bradley Parker.
The GB9 Tour, sponsored in it's inaugural year by Rileys Pool, Snooker and Poker Clubs, has drawn talent from the length and breadth of the country, who will be putting the final touches to their practice routines in readiness for what must be the toughest national tour in Europe.
The GB9 official match cloth is sponsored by Z9Billiard Cloth by Klaus Zobrekis, a new company with a new high tech cloth, designed after three years of intensive development, and aimed at the top end of the market for professional "worsted" pool/billiard cloth for American style tables.
