Proposed Senior 9-Ball Home Internationals:

Ireland’s Ronnie Boyle along with Martin Chapman and Scotland’s Ross Mc Innes are putting plans together to set-up a Senior (over 40’s) Home Internationals 9-Ball Tournament involving home countries along with Rep of Ireland who are interested.

The proposed over 40 Senior 9-Ball Event will consist of 5-a-side international teams along with an over 40’s individual 9ball tournament involving players from the international teams.

At the moment Martin Chapman is looking for a venue and a free date on the pool calendar in around Manchester to set-up the first event this year 2008 and get things underway.

Format:
The format is not set in place yet but it was talked about £100 per-player with all money going out in prize money for both team and individual events with the team tournament taking place on the Saturday played in a round robin format and the individual event played to a double elimination on the Sunday.

Dress Code:
The tournament will have an official dress code for each country with all team members wearing the same team shirts polo or dress (no mixing of shirts) black trousers, and black dress shoes.

Sponsor:
We hope to get a major sponsor on board for the event which will see extra prize-money added and make the tournament a more prestigious event.

Teams:
The following people Martin Chapman, Ross Mc Innes and Ronnie Boyle have confirmed teams representing the following home countries with Ross chasing up a contact to take care of the Welsh team.

Ross Mc Innes c/o Team Scotland
Martin Chapman c/o Team England
Ronnie Boyle c/o Team N. Ireland
Ronnie Boyle c/o Team Rep of Ireland

Note:
A few years ago Ronnie Boyle and Ross Mc Innes tried to get a Open 9-Ball Home Internationals set-up with England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland but only Ireland and Scotland turned up so we hope this over 40’s event will be a better success…….We will keep everyone up to date on the progress of this proposed event.
