Hundal takes £1,000 trophy on offer in Bournemouth
Hundal, Osborne, Massey, Walsh, Buckmaster... They all went to Bournemouth Rileys, played some quality pool and tried to win the beautiful £1,000 trophy on offer. Everyone agreed Raj Hundal was the favourite on the day, and true to form, the London player took the spoils of war back to Hounslow.
The event was organised to celebrate the acquisition of the CueSportGroup and the Bunjee Cues UK licensing deal by Bournemouth player Mark Collins, who personally guaranteed the £1,000 first prize.

Chris Buckmaster was eliminated after great come back by David Walsh.
WALSH WINS AFTER COME BACK
David Walsh was 6-3 down against Chris Buckmaster but the London player pulled out a remarkable come-back after Buckmaster missed a few silly shots. "I had him on the ropes", said Buckmaster, "but I couldn't knock him out!"
Craig Osborne was a shock early exit.
OSBORNE IS OUT
Shock exit of the tournament has to be Craig "Shotgun" Osborne in the Quarter Finals to relative unknown Gary Thompson. Osborne was ahead 4-0 in the race to nine, only to lose 9-7. Thompson may be a bit of a dark horse, as he has quite a reputation locally as a skilled player, and is the fancied outside bet amongst the local players "in the know".

SIMMO WINS AGAIN!!!
Dave Simmonds seems to win all the raffles doesn't he? Well, he's done it AGAIN!!! This time he has "nailed" the top prize of a set of Super Aramith Pro Cup TV balls. All players were allocated a couple of FREE raffle tickets, with the option to purchase extra tickets too. After buying a modest £5 of tickets, Simmonds also bagged a rather desirable Jack Daniels "Old No.7" collectors 8-Ball.
Expect another photo of Dave here shortly with ANOTHER cheesy smile on his face! Well done Dave.

LOSING SEMI-FINALISTS RECEIVE PRO CUP BALLS FROM SPONSOR
A rather nice touch to add to all the raffle prizes was the surprise gift of a set of Super Aramith Pro Cup TV balls for each of the losing semi-finalists.
Despite the slightly lower than hoped for number of entries, there was still good value to the players who made the effort to attend this event.

BOURNEMOUTH BUNJEE LEAGUE BONUS
The local lads who play in the regular weekly Bournemouth Bunjee League organised a handicapped plate competition amongst themselves.
£5 entry, with the usual Bunjee 3 step handicap (1, 2, or 3 rack start) Curtis Garner was the eventual winner of the £30 prize money, with Andy Dear a close runner-up.
