Richard Jones wins Cambridge 10-Ball Event
Mickey Flynns 10-Ball Results
Mickey Flynns American Pool lead the way with innovative tournaments, this time a 10-Ball tournament with group stages was the flavour of the day.
Richard Jones was the winner of the Cambridge 10-Ball Tournament, and it is fantastic timing too, as Jones has been announced as one of the UK players entered into the 7th Predator World 10-Ball Championships in Jacksonville, Florida, later this year!

The two finalists agreed to play a short race to three for the title and the lion's share of the prize fund, and of course, it all went one way, as it tends to do with these very short races, with Jones edging the first rack, dishing the second from the break, and winning a short safety battle in the third, to run out a clear winner!
Richard was pleased to win his first event at Mickey Flynns after running them for several years now, but was honestly more pleased that the event itself was a success, as most people enjoyed the format with plenty of pool for all players in the group stages.
"People don't want to turn up and go home after losing a single match, and with this format they are guaranteed three or four matches, even the less talented players enjoy themselves as they get plenty of table time. I don't think it's the 10-ball game they come for, I think it's the format and the amount of games they get that they enjoy!"
The 38 entrants paid £30 entry and the winner received £500, runner up got £200, losing semi-finalists received £100, and losing quarter-finalists got £60.
The plate was won by Bartek Czapski who beat Asim Bux in the plate - Bartek picked up £70 and Asim settled for £30.
Many thanks to the fabulous staff and management at Mickey Flynns - the best staff in the business... Especially Joyce who manages to smile every second of the day!
