Christopher Bristow receives his trophy from Tournament Organiser Simon D’Vali
Youngest ever Mens tournament winner?
He must be in contention. Eleven (yes, eleven) year old Christopher Bristow pulled out an amazing tournament victory at the Leeds Rileys Open 9 Ball event. Beating several top players in the process. Young Christopher took his win with amazing dignity and grace, a credit to himself and his father, BPPPA President, Ted Bristow.
"Read More..." for the details.
His run included beating top 16 BPPPA professional, Martin Chapman in the semi-finals. At 6-6, Martin made an unforced error letting Christopher in to take the match 7-6.
Christopher Bristow at the table.
The final was played between 8 Ball stalwart Winston David and Christopher. Christopher, looking like a seasoned professional around the table, calmly took the initiative with a 7-4 victory.
One for the future of 9 Ball? He is showing all the signs. Watch this space.
The open event takes place every Wednesday evenings at Rileys in Leeds, alternating between 8 Ball and 9 Ball.
