OVERVIEW

Format depends on level of entrants, may revert to double elim.

We are introducing a new group format this season (for fields below 10 we will do Double Elim), which will mean more pool for all players, and a new fee and prize money system, which will mean more of the field, will receive prize money (75% of the field in a 16 man event will receive prize money)

The revised format will be (for example)
4 groups of 4 players (based on 16 entrants)

Each group will have a player from the rankings from each section of the ranking list.
e.g.
1-4
5-8
9-12
13-16

All drawn manually then entered into the group spreadsheet kindly developed by Lee Rigby.

Each player gets 3 matches on Saturday at specific times (race to 7)
e.g.

10:00
12:00
14:30

Allowing all players to break for lunch, and know their approximate match start times (please be in venue 15 minutes before scheduled start)

8 qualifiers to main QF's (winner of g1 plays runner up of g2 , etc.)
8 losers to challenge QF (3rd in g1 plays 4th in g2 etc)

Group format is adaptable for fields from 10-20 players

Membership fee is £20 per year or £5 per event (additional fees apply for entry to European and world championships).

In order to speed up the events the players meeting will be at 9:30 draw at 9:45, start of play will be 10am.

For further enjoyment there will be other events on the program such as a Friday night knockout and events on the Saturday night. (tbc).
