IPA UK Blackball Pool Open from the Britannia Adelphi Hotel next weekend
After the dust settled following the Lakeside World Blackball Championships in January the tour moves onward and upward with the next stop the UK Open this weekend coming.
The World’s best players will once again go toe to toe to define the champion, with the UK title plus the amateur and professional events as well as ranking points all up for grabs, not to mention the trophies and prize money.
Most of the familiar names are in attendance including the remarkably consistent Ronan McCarthy, Rankings number one Gareth Hibbott, Welsh Wizards Jordan Shepherd, Craig Marsh and Ben Davies, former World Champion Jason Twist, and Liverpool’s number one Andy Macdonald, but they will all have to bring their “A” game if they want to get past Word Championship runner up Clint I’Anson who has to be the one to beat.

With Gareth Potts now playing in China most of the time there has never been a better opportunity to stake a claim to be top of the 8 ball tree, though in a sport as explosive as blackball pool anything is possible, which is why this event has attracted so many entrants again, and seems assured of a massive international livestream audience once more.
